Dave Escapes....P.N.S, Negril, and the Apparent Event Horizon (a trip report)

After some time at the bar it was time to grab a few more drinks and head cliffside to chill out and have a smoke...

They venture back over the bridge and down to the edge of the cliffs...Catcha has some great little nooks hidden down stairs, around corners...everywhere...very cool :-)

The moon was out...

Dave and his wife find a couple of lounge chairs tucked away above the ocean and settle in...
There is a whole lot of chillin' going on...some drinking, some smokin', and some talkin'...Dave's sense of time is once again distorted...his mind starts to wander... again.
He watches a whisp of smoke curl upward, and even though there is a breeze it seems to stop...just freeze there...The dark sea surging below him...he imagines being on the edge of a black hole...on the event horizon...the dark mass of the ocean below a point of no return...leading to a singularity,a point so dense as to tear a hole in space/time itself...above where he and his wife were sitting, the event horizon...the point where beyond no matter can escape the intense gravity...not even light...the closer an object gets to the edge, the slower time seems to pass to the observer, until the object seems to just fade away as it is pulled in.."Where does it go?" he thought...and started to smile...
"what are you thinking about?" asks Dave's wife...He tells her..."You're cut off" she says as she smiles back at him..."Time to call for a ride back home"

As Bob Hope used to say***** Thanks for the memories,,,Dave..... Stayed at CoCo and ate daily at the nice,quiet Idle.....Stayed at the little Pisces room at Catcha........Went to the Sat nt Sea Spash show and had the Canadian bloody mary's at Canoe.... I had a T shirt made that said "For Real Bar" that I gave to the bartender as a tip,the old version.

There has to be a morning after...The words kept running through Dave's head, which kind of annoyed him...he didn't really like the song...
Today was a recovery day, a grab a beach lounger and chill in the shade of the sea grape tree day...But first some breakfast and fresh coconut water...

Great shot of the sailboat off the beach. You've managed to totally capture the lounge recovery system perfectly!

Sitting there watching the world go by was nice...spending quality time with Cindy was nicer...Dave started to ask her..."Hey Cindy, what do you...?" then...whack!...something smacked him on the forehead...
It was a sea grape leaf... "Damn, that's one tough leathery leaf" he thought to himself...He was going to ask his wife what she wanted to do later but now he had an idea...Like when Newton got beaned by the apple, just not as good.
They would hang here for a while and let gravity take over...Let Negril come to them...

I've been enjoying your trip report so far:)
can you believe I've been to Jamaica three times and I haven't had coconut milk straight out of a coconut yet? I really have to change that!
