This reach, i have booked like four months in advance, and it's killing me. Too much anticipation. I prefer to book within 45 days so I can start counting down right away.
Then again, others book a year in advance.
What about you guys? Thoughts?

Booked hotel for next February as soon as we got home form this year's trip. So that would be 11.5 months in advance. One more week until I can book the airline with our miles. Just 46 weeks to go!
I usually buy my ticket a week or two out, but occasionally the same day or week of departure. I book the room the same way or just arrive (in low season) and get one upon arrival.
Alway try to book hotels a year in advance.
About 8 mounths out. Can't find airfare mutch before that.
I fly direct from baltimore, so I can only get that six months out. Believe me, the day the airline opens flights, I book my ticket. Knowing that I have a definite trip on the books is what keeps me sane!
At least a couple months lead time depending on flight prices. That's a big consideration; and anticipation and planning is half the fun; well part of the fun anyway.
We are in Negril July 4-13. This trip has been booked since last April when I hadn't been on my July 2013 trip yet! I do not have a trip booked for next July (yet). I need to get on that!!!
We booked our hotel for next Christmas/NY as soon as we came home in January and booked the air as soon as I could with miles. Our next trip we booked in January too! The anticipation can be tough, but I need to know I'm going back relatively soon :)
I feel a pit in my stomach almost daily if I dont know I have a trip booked. No matter how far in advance it is.
Currently I have 2 booked. April and Aug.
