Teddy is closing The Hideaway!!
:( Teddy is a really talented chef...I think maybe a lot of folks didn't stop and take time to go behind the gates to enjoy his menu.
Quite frankly, I will miss The Hideaway...had some really great meals there.
Yes...great chef and i love his style!! he has worked hard and was doing quite well there...lots of changes at castle...Teddy is not leaving by his own choice...after 15 years coming to castle i think it is time for me to move on...was there recently and many guests were feeling this way
Yes it is sad that things are changing at the castle. Still love the place but the vibe is changing and not because of Petrona or Teddy. I too have been staying there for 15 years but after the last stay we are back to Treehouse as our preference. Referring to the lottery thread, I have always wanted to buy the place and keep it irie.
awe...we wanted to stop by next week
Us too! We have stayed there at least 4 times. We LOVE the castle! I will say however we have chosen this trip to stay someplace with a bit more- Mostly because its a group of 5 and we really wanted a bar/pool to hang out at without having to leave the property.
Doesnt sound like the change in vibe is a good one. How so? Can any one clue me in on the changes? A future stay wasnt out of the question...
I was there in late March, I didn't notice anything drastically different. The one thing that I didn't like was the new security guard, Santa is still there, but there's another guy I didn't recognize who didn't have a very good attitiude. Other than that, everything was fine. Didn't eat at Teddy's this time, which I now feel bad about.
Say what??!
We are not "cliff" people but stayed a few nights at Home Sweet Home and were thankful to have Teddy next door for breakfast and dinner. Definitely one of the best dinners that trip. Would love to hear where he ends up. If anyone converses with him Coco La Palm is building a new "indoor" restaurant. What a wonderful addition that would be! One can only hope. And then again we would probably never leave the hotel if Teddy was cooking.
Teddy is going to work on a cruise ship. Susan told him he could no longer socialize with guests in the yard and that people don't come there to make friends. Also after working and living there for almost 20 years, in staff quarters, Susan has told Petrona she has to live somewhere else.
