RUM CREAM SHORTAGE ??....Say it isn't so!...

We are returning to Negril next month and always purchase Sangster's Rum Crream at the Sunshine liquors in the duty free at the airport....This reach we are staying on the west end before going to Swept Away for our 10 yr anniversary...the couples mb has people in a tizzy, as they are unable to get rum cream...reasons I've read are:
1.airport remodling is affecting duty free shops inventory/replinishment
2. Production issues- short supply/re organization of distillery
3. currently only available in local shops(HiLo, etc.)

Has anyone experienced this yet? Is it really an issue?
Hope not...We love our rum cream, and only rarely are able to get the Cruzan brand here(not as good)

We just returned and there seemed to be plenty around,no problem mon!:)

Maybe there's a problem at the duty free shops at the airport....but you can certainly buy Sangster's Rum Cream everywhere else without a problem.

The couples message board is enough to drive a person batty. Just come here, Rob or Lisa will set you on the path separating rumor from fact. :)

When we were there in February there was no Sangsters rum cream at the airport but there was another brand we did buy and it seemed the same (forget what it was though)

Most likely the J.Wray and Nephew brand. It is a good substitute but not as rich I find. Has anyone tried the Bananna Rum Cream? I saw it our last day much too late in the day for coffee so I never got to try it.

Have tried the banana and the coconut - both are very good but sweeter than the regular

When we were at the airport in May, Sushine Liquors was no longer there! We always get rum to bring home, but had to buy it at the big duty free shop in the middle of departure area. As far as we were told, there is only one liquor store left. They had rum cream though....didnt seem to be a problem.

That's too bad - their prices were so much better. When we were there in April they didn't have much of anything, so I'm not surprised...
