With a heavy heart...

we announce the passing of Collin Lynch, the owner and pastry master at the Out Of Town Pastry on the far West End.

As a former neighbour for some 3 years, we fondly remember the 45 second walk to catch Collin's incredible hot out of the oven patties and coco bread.

There has been limited and conflicting information from the news so far, but he was killed after two men entered his business last night.

We had many great years as both patrons and neighbours of Collin and our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to him, his immediate family and the entire extended Lynch family.

Rest in peace our friend.

I got this horrible news this morning. Although the information came from a knowledgeable source, I was so shocked I was going to PM you to ask if it were true. I met Collin three weeks ago when I walked into his shop requesting breakfast. Told me they only serve pastries and bun, but to come back anytime to try something. I did and he made me feel so welcomed when I returned. My prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

How sad! Isn't his daughter a boardie? Praying for his family.
