Unresponsive Airplane flying ---- approaching Jamaica
I am watching the news and apparently a plane departed Rochester NY for Naples Florida and the pilot has not responded since 10 am. It has cleared Cuban air space and is headed toward Jamaica. It is being reported that hypoxia set in due to altitude changes and the passengers would have fallen asleep without ever suffering. The plane is expected to crash once the fuel runs out. It is described as a small corporate airliner. SCARY!

So sad for the folks on the plane. Glad the plane didn't crash on land and hurt others.

Re: Unresponsive Airplane flying ---- approaching Jamaica
I am amazed at how far that plane flew on it's own. They had lost contact with the pilot hours before. On the news they are saying it probably just finally ran out of fuel.
Re: Unresponsive Airplane flying ---- approaching Jamaica
This happened a few years ago in the US. I think the passenger was a professional golfer or something similar. When the pilot & passenger are passed out or deceased, the plane will continue on autopilot until the fuel is gone. The flight I'm referencing crashed somewhere in the mid section of the country, I think in a field/farm land. These things happen sometimes. Sad, but glad there were no more deaths.
