Wearing "camo" clothes or hats

Been seeing some articles on the internet about issues with wearing "camo" style clothes in Jamaica. I have not been able to find anything on official Jamaican websites but many travel sites have warnings about most islands in the Caribbean having issues with camo.

Anyone have insight on this issue in Jamaica? Shorts, swim suits, t-shirts, etc...

I know that when I go on vacation somewhere I want to look as paramilitary as possible all the time. A simulated knife in my teeth and a couple of dummy handgrenades round out the look.

In a world rife with terrorists, looking like a possible menace is high on the list. What ever happened to Hawaiian Shirts?

My personal opinion

I'm with Accompong. I don't own any camo; never did. When I fly to Jamaica, I'm wearing a CSA white t-shirt (I have 2 left, both now 15 years old), a bathing suit, and flip-flops. I used to wear cargo shorts, but, well, you never know when a beach will be part of the ride to the resort. One must be always ready to tan.

Our Apple Vacations docs read...."Out of respect for the military, travelers to Jamaica are not permitted to wear camouflage clothing."

I have never had a problem with my camo - Dixie flag tshirt in Negril. My girlfriend has even gotten compliments on her camo - Dixie flag bikini.

I use a camouflage bag everyone wanted me to give it to them. Everyone loved the swim shorts also.

I have notified the newbies in our group to leave the camo at home. Hope they have other shorts to wear. Those dedicated hunters are all camo all the time. Shorts, hats, sunglasses, shirts, shoes, etc... besides the usual jackets, bib overalls, etc.......

But there is nothing like wearing your blaze orange camo jacket to Lambeau Field to watch a Packer game
