A tribute to a lovely man...
For those that hang out at Sunbeach and know Roy who was the chef and the person who'd do anything he could to make you comfortable on the property....we are sad to announce he has passed.
We spent the day with the owners and staff of Sunbeach and remembered what a wonderful man he was to know....it was a sunny and busy day there...perfect for remembering Roy.

Re: A tribute to a lovely man...
Been hanging out at Sunbeach for years and Roy was truly one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. A pleasant, kind, respectful man, who would go out of his way to help you out in any way he could ! Respect to my old friend ! Won't be the same without him.
Re: A tribute to a lovely man...
I am very sad to hear this, Roy was truly a nice guy. He always remembered us when we came. So sad, he wasn't very old.
Re: A tribute to a lovely man...
I can't think of who he is, but have spent lots of time at Sunbeach?

Pool...he could be seen making jerk chicken at the bar grill quite often...or just running around helping people get set up etc.
We don't have a pic but if someone else has one...please post.
Re: A tribute to a lovely man...
I have a couple pics of Roy setting up his little craft stand early in the morning beside the bar at Sunbeach, with his American flag skullcap on. Interacting with his best buddy from Michigan.............. who may not want his pic posted. I'll have to respect that.

Re: A tribute to a lovely man...
So sorry to hear this. Condolences to his friends and family. I think I met him in August. Is that an older picture?
Re: A tribute to a lovely man...
That pic is about 3 years old. There's a lot of good people around Sunbeach, but he was one of the best !
