Do they still use coins in Jamaica? I have a crown royal bag half full of Jamaican coins. Seems like every time I go I come home with a bunch and never remember to bring them with me on my next trip
As long as it is legal tender, Jamaican's will use their own currency. A lot of places out on the island, people only have coins to spend on things.Quote:

Some Jamaican souvenirs from days gone by!
They are definitely in use -- when I am in Negril I stockpile the coins and periodically take them over to a neighborhood store (Shamrock as I stay on the beach close to their shop) and exchange them for goods or paper money. The shopkeepers are always short of coins and are happy to exchange them for you.Quote:
