Question on Club Mobay and luggage

I've only used it once upon arrival and I always do carry on.
How does it work for checked bags?
If I recall, the agent picks you up right at the turn down the ramp to Immigration, then once you clear immigration, you'd have to wait for your bags in baggage claim, correct? So if there's a delay in baggage, time saved at immigration is out the window?

I'm looking at a new CC and one of the airline lounge perks is ClubMobay arrivals/departures as well as checked bags. So just evaluating the convenience if I actually checked a bag to MBJ.

That is correct. The escort waits with you until you have your bags and then takes you to an expedited line for Customs. If it is a crowded time this still saves you a lot of time. If it's not crowded... then it doesn't.

We have used it every trip for several years now. We have never had to wait for luggage. Several times all our bags were grouped together waiting for us. I chalk that up to ambitious baggage handlers not necessarily Club MoBay.

Our bags have always been waiting for us.

Guessing you have a credit card with Priority Pass privileges? I do not believe it will offer the arrival service, however you do have access to the Club Mobay lounge once you clear immigration/customs. Good thing about it on departure, which I just found out my last trip, is you get to use the expedited security line. Just show your Priority Pass card at the kiosk near the entrance to security and they will wave you thru.

Interesting point. Hmm. I wonder.

We have used Club Mobay arrival during the Christmas holidays and have never had a problem getting our bags! Everyone else that was on our plane is at least 1 - 2 hours behind us waiting in line...Well worth the money!

I am not a fan as much use for it on arrival unless I see 15 flights coming in within an hours time frame..then its more then worth it..the last thing I want to do is sit around the the airport for a while when I arrive..I have places to go and people to see..lol

The only time I got Club Mobay was the arrival when the wife's bag got bumped to a later flight because of all of the golf club bags on our flight. The rep was very nice and walked me through the missing bag procedures and waited the 1.5 hours it took the bag to arrive. My wife enjoyed Club Mobay while we waited but I never did as our driver was waiting for us.

Agree! We "hit & run" the arrival lounge - grab a towel, use the facilities, grab a drink for the road and we are outta there!��
