Absolutely, the water is great for drinking... I drink a lot of it everyday, and don't even bother with bottled water !
Water out of the pipe is awesome...some bottled water has added sodium.
Water.. No Problem.. Good in Rum !!
Just got back from Mexico where I had to buy 5 gallon jugs of "purified water" for drinking, making coffee, etc. My wife even used it to brush her teeth because she was nervous about getting sick.
I miss the clean tap water in Jamaica.

wata always been great in Jamaica.....though wi do get bouts of NO WATA here on the West End.......

Yup, this was my first trip there in over 15 years, as well. Being on a budget this winter, the low airfare to CUN (half of that to MBJ) and the relatively low peak season hotel rates made it an attractive option. I did my research and found a safe town with a cool, local vibe. Even the local food was cheap enough that I found it easy to stick to $100/day budget for 2. Still, I missed Negril, but will save that trip for the slow season when things are more affordable.Quote:
