Does anyone have thoughts which is better, I only plan to do 1 day trip, so really need feed back, so we choose most popular 1, however, if there is a better day trip, please advise as well.

I really enjoyed the Black River but if I had to choose between the 2 it would definitely be Mayfield Falls!! Love it! I've been 4x :)

inexpensive and a lot of fun and close to Negril.........

How long does it take to drive to Mayfield Falls? How are the roads-- okay for a rental car?

The Drive was long, like 1.5-2hours, however, we did stop for redstripe as well, the roads were "NOT" the best for sure... But we did enjoy ourselves, and would definitely not only recommend this place, but would do it again for sure.
next time we will also check out Cool Runnings, which is right in Negril, we "love" to always support the Parish we are visiting in Jamaica...

captaind---OMG... I totally agree, "HIRE A DRIVER-- with " RED" plates, for more reasons than 1... It is off the beaten track, and " you" should always have a local with you....!!!!
