Pepper Shrimp
Morning peeps,
I've been dying to try pepper shrimp. The last few times I was there I was in escovitch heaven so pepper shrimp was waaaay on the back burner. Since this will be my last trip to Jamaica for quite a while, I want to go ahead and give the little buggers a try. Where would be the best place to get them?
(I'm already set to try the escovitch at Sun Beach thanks to a boardie recommendation). (a little disappointed I won't be able to get any lobster during my visit)

Kuyaba does a good job with the pepper shrimp...

The best of the best are the real things, which you get in Middle Quarters (but that's not Negril)
So in Negril, the best I have had were at Pushcart

Agree with Marley9808. Don't forget to try some yummy lionfish.......it really is quite good and a very mild taste. Several establishments now serve it even Canoe! If not, just ask around and someone will fix you some up!! Enjoy!

I went to black river a few years back and we passed through some town to get (what else) escovitch and I think they had some but that wasn't on my radar at the time. Middle quarters you say? Works for me.
Lionfish - will give it a try!

Pushcart has the best peppershrimp, IMO. Have never tried Kuyaba's, but it's on my to do list.

Where can I sit on the beach to bump into a vendor with the shrimp?

I stopped there at that spot on the way back from the river....got the peppered "shrimp"....pleasantly surprised by a bag of enormous crawfish....peppered so right. Mmmmmmmm
Go back there if you get the chance

Maybe we can have the Chicken Bus stop there!
