Crusher Trip Report March 22nd-29th
Everyone,
Just wanted to check in we made it to Negril last night safe and sound. Our flight was delayed a bit but they put the pedal to the metal and we ended up only 15 minutes late landing. You have to love those flyboys on the return rides they had to fly back to Regina last night and made sure they didn't cause too much worry for both sets of travellers.
The line at immigration wasn't terrible but it could have been worse. Three planes landed right after us and it was lined up to the ramp. We made it through in about 25-30 minutes. All in all not too bad.
The best was walking out of the airport to see my brother Doc and his big grin. As soon as we saw him we truly knew we were in Jamaica! He had a Molson Canadian Cooler Bag full of goodies for Brenda and I. I sipped on Red Stripes all the way to Negril as we debated politics and heard all the latest news from our little community. Was awesome to spend such genuine time with someone we have both come to love as family.
We arrived at The Palms and the check in was smooth. Made all our arrangements. Rooms are really nice and they have done some nice renovations. I had heard negative things but once again its all from your perspective on how you see things. Considering we stay at Mariners/NBCC in the hotel portion these rooms are a few notches above those. And we love that place.
Got squared away in the room and made our way to the beach. Watching Brenda dip her toes in the ocean after all we have been through since the last time we were here was joyous. Cancer affects so many but my little Cancer Warrior kicked Cancer's ass and we have Negril as our reward for her hard work and fight.
Supper was great we served by Omar the bartender and Nicolette the waitress. We had Curried Chicken, Rice and Peas. It was heavenly. We dined about 20 feet from the ocean and were treated the most wonderful music in the world....the ocean waves.
We called it an early night and made plans to get on the beach asap today.
More to follow and pics will start tomorrow. One love brothers and sisters.....home soon come!
Kory

Well Day Two started pretty early for us....me not so much...but for my actress/singer wife it was pretty darn early! We headed out to the beach and it was so calm.

We spent a few hours frolicking in the ocean and chilling in our awesome loungers provided by The Palms. (I will insert a note here that the wifi is giving me grief about uploading photos). Being the 'veterans' on the beach we helped fend off the persistent vendors and peddlers for a bit. The beach doesn't leave a whole lot of space between the loungers and the ocean so everyone that passes has access. Once they know you know the back and forth its pretty easy to deal with. We have some Russians and Italians on our beach and they were trying to the no English thing and it wasn't working too well.
We had breakfast at the restaurant at the resort and it was so awesome. Simple but full of flavor. The Banana Johnny Cakes with nutmeg were so awesome. We spent some more time on the beach while we waited for Doc to arrive. We needed to fill our fridge and get some money exchanged. Used the Cambio at the Hi-Lo...as always....good idea to count your money yourself after the exchange. The girl had made a mistake that was quickly fixed.
Made our way back and stocked the room. B is sleeping and I am updating.
Try more pics later.
