The final countdown has began, er, begun, whatever.....A Short Story!

.....let's see, is it four t-shirts and 5 tank tops or 4 tanks and 5 tees? I can't ever remember. 12 days, 3 pair of socks sounds about right in case we actually put shoes on. Underwear? Well, let's just say that Mom always told me to have a clean pair in case I get into an accident. Or have an accident. At my age, that is closer to the truth.

On the list are Batteries, and battery chargers, and AC cords, OH MY! Oh my is right! AA, AAA, C, D! I Yi Yi!
What device takes which size? How many of each do I need to bring? Do I need to cover the positive side or the negative side?? Which side is the positive side? And then there are the cell phones - 3 of them - all requiring different chargers. And the CD player (yes, we have a CD player, my 8 track is being repaired) and the other devices, all of which have some cord or other that needs to be attached to them at some point!

Good thing we go to Jamaica to get away!

Ok, it's the initial weigh in time.

What! The darn luggage scale has stopped beeping! What an inconvenience! A device (of sorts) that doesn't beep! It is suppose to beep when it has decided how much stuff I have to remove from my suitcase. That bleeping beepless scale! How am I going to manage without that beep? I am beepless in Michigan. Not bleepless though, #@*!!?^&!!!!

Then, the beepless scale doesn't want to register in pounds. So, kilograms it is, eh? Oh no, I'm beginning to talk Canadian. (Not that there is anything wrong with that.)

Let's see, it is about 2.2 lbs per kg, if I am not mistaken! Buuuuttttt, what if the bleeping thing not only doesn't beep and not only doesn't weigh in pounds, but doesn't weigh somewhat accurately!......Suddenly, visions of opening suitcases at the airport in order to rearrange items and airing our clean laundry OH NO!

The bleep with this bleeping weigh in.

Where the heck is my Red Stripe!!! AHHHH, there it is along with my overproof. It's better now!
