Re: Advise & HelpWanted w/ plane booking in WashDC-USA area
We booked BWI/MBJ with AirTran. It was by far the best priced flight we could find and it was r/t direct. Go to their website and use the flexible date option and you can find the most reasonable price for your trip.
You may also want to do the same on Kayak just in case another carrier would be offering a better rate.
Nice to see you posting again Smith. Hope you do another "on location" trip report.

try matrix.itasoftware.com .....it has all the flight combos and prices..its the best site I have ever seen..
Re: Advise & HelpWanted w/ plane booking in WashDC-USA area
AirTran out of Baltimore to Montego Bay remains the the best for good rates. On my previous trips, I have found their non-stop flight to be cheaper than any other airlines that have a stop. I really don't think the "check on Tuesday after midnight" for best fares necessarily works. I used matrix.itasoftware and expedia, cheapoair, travelocity etc to check airfares and then book directly with the airlines. I have also found that sometimes the fares are cheaper if you book one way tickets.

Yup I agree with the others BWI-MBJ direct flights with AirTran I usually book at there website usually cheaper or Kayak you can also setup a notification with Kayak to send you notices when prices changes.. Also AirTran will be Southwest real soon so keep watch.
Welcome back! and Wow! a month or so your definitely making up for lost time...lol

Airtran has sales pretty frequently, 1 or more times each month. Sign up for notification. Note, their baggage fees increased and their change fee is now $150.

Ditto with AirTran out of BWI for the non-stop flights. The last couple of years I've ended up booking from their website after checking prices on the other travel site. Can't believe my next trip is coming up in three weeks. *shivers*
