Last trip was 1/13. Any restaurants that didn't exist last year or have new chefs that are worth checking out? Any other new places?

Try ahhhbees. It's burgers, but very addictive burgers. He moved into the spot where Alice's used to be.
Swordfish although not new really good!
Trevors Carribean Cuisine up Alaska drive across from the old Yaught Club.
We love Tony's Jerk next to For Real bar, almost across from Blue Cave Castle.
Oh, just remembered two other new places in the Westend, Pressa,s , and Pablos, heard good things about both, but did not try either myself.
In the West end - Sunset after Dark (across from Negril Hardware) is still one of the Best. Patrick originated the 1 pound burger and his Snapper Fish & Chips have to be in the top 3 for all of Negril , If you can even finish the 2 enormous pieces of fish so lightly battered it is melt in your mouth. On the Beach in between the Negril Beach Club and Travellers is a New Chinese Place "Keney's" and we had great very reasonable meals there in early December. Nice to see that comfort food right close by !! Check them out.
Yes Keneys is inside of Errolls - Bar is still on one side but Keney's is on the other side. I didn't buy Chinese Food on the beach until I met the Chef who is from China and he gave me a sample..It was great so We were back fror dinner after that.Too funny as an aside I spent 5 years living in Bethesda as a Kid when my Dad was on a diplomatis posting from Canadian Gov't.
After I read your initial post, I saw pics of Chinese food on Erroll's Facebook page. I will have to check them out.....so Kenny's is actually behind Errolls but you access it through Errol's???? Or is it next to it?
Bethesda is pretty close to me and a very nice city. Do you know the company Telesat in Ottawa? I used to work for them.....but in Rockville not Canada.
Bourbon beach recently changed hands. Same manager, new owners. The facebook page shows that they have spend a considerable amount of time and money fixing it up cosmetically. Someone who was on the island recently told me that there's tighter security there, keeping the hookers and hustlers away. Definitely interested in checking it out in Jan.
The question with Bourbon beach is how's the jerk sauce? That really spicy black tar stuff from the old DeBuss days was killer.
Hey Jam 71 - I know Telesat very well and think they still exist here in Ottawa somewhere. I lived off the Old Georgetown road back in the day and last time I was visiting was amazed at how things had grown up since my younger days. Sorry about the Keney's confusion - They are a part of Errols and must have replaced his old kitchen. Sign is on the Main Beach road and on the beach and when you climb the steps into Errols they are on the left hand side with a view of the beach & bay. I really enjoyed my meal there and since we were staying at NBCC so it is too close when you feel like eating but not strolling far to do it.
Bourben Beach looks really good espeacially at night with all the new lighting, I asked about the chicken as its my sons favourite thing in Negril, they said no changes to it. I did not get any but was sitting next to a couple at the bar who were eating chicken it looked the same and the sauce looked to be unchanged! I also think its the best jerk sauce in Negril, although in small doses as it hot, hot, hot!!
Jam 71 - Please add your thoughts /review to the Thread about your experience at Keney's - I always want to give new places a chance to shine and Negril.com creates a good amount of buzz !
Down the beach at the place that was closed,Janette Delish,by the wood carver.Just re-opened.MoMs lace way down the beach just past Bourbon.
Walked thru Bourban Beach to get to the cambio in front. Didnt eat but, chicken and pork was on grill cooking and looked really good . No riff-raf around. For sure different. Also, that cambio isnt marked and it's a really good one to use. It's quiet and safe-- no one hanging around the doors.
