That's right shellyk. Rates include weekends. Bar open until you stop drinking. Kitchen open until 11 pm. After that you can get sandwiches. Airport transfers are $25 each person.

For years now I have been sending my guests to Ivans to hang out for lunch and dinner and use there facilities. However as of recently they are not allowing outside guests to use their facilities during the day. You can go there for dinner. That's what they are telling my guests.

We drop you off and pick you up anywhere on the beach. We supply all of our guests with a cell phone so that we are always in contact and calls to the hotel are free. I may get in a last minute trip before starting a new job (who knows when I'll get my first vacation after that). When I look at the "Availability Calendar" on the Seastar website, I see red X's for all rooms from Sat, 9/10 ongoing for several weeks. Also, the few dates shown as still available before then don't reflect the deal price.
PLEASE tell me this is only because of the special deal, you want us to call to make the reservation - and not that you are full up that whole time. please, please, please I hope that is the explanation.
Send Chris an email - I'm sure you'll find out quick enough. The rates shown are standard and I'm pretty convinced he'll honor his special quoted. But as to availability, contact him with your dates and keep your fingers crossed!

I asked when they planned to reopen because I was hoping they would be reopened for our trip in October, and their answer was:

FYI to anyone going down early Sept. - my GF ran into Chris and talked to him about my trip.
She told him I was thinking about a last-minute 1week trip - Thu, 9/8 thru Thu 9/15 - but didn't want to move in middle of trip for renovations starting 9/10. He said it was no problem, and to call.
So I can't say for sure, but apparently the 9/10 renovation start date is somewhat fluid - you know Jamaica.
Where I am going with this is - don't go somewhere else SOLELY because you thought they were closing for renovations on 9/10 and thought you would have to move in middle of your trip. Call Chris, or the Seastar staff, to see if you can still be accommodated.
