have heard about him/them for a number of years and now we need to purchase a number of items for our place but he is no where to be found. Rumor had it that one each of our last two trips he was near Samuels hardware store but we never could find him
Anyone else know of a very good local craftsman who makes wicker furniture
The "wicker man" that we always bought our wicker from was a great guy named David. He used to hang out in the woods past the private villa after you make the cut through the woods on the way up to Sandals. He got beat up a number of years ago in a local dispute and had his leg broken which kept him off the beach for awhile. We saw him a year or two ago and he was fine. Don't see him on a regular basis anymore. Still appreciate his "handy work".
Go to the pony parlour on race day in the early afternoon(1-2 ish). Chances are good
There is a wicker man across from KERLEW Hardware/Negril All Age School. Sometimes see wicker for sale in the parking lot next to Corner Bar.
Not sure if its the guy you are talking about, but "The Wicker Man" was walking the beach last week, with all sorts of things for sale.
Hang out in front of the Sun Beach Bar and Restaurant and the Wicker Man will find you.
If you are looking for the guy that sells wicker furniture, chairs, shelves, etc. I saw him in the Corner Bar parking lot yesterday. He probably goes there once a week, so look for him on Thursdays in that parking lot,
I believe my friend paid 3500JA for a really nice chair.
There was a guy last week at Negril Escape that was repairing wicker chairs for them, he also said he did all the wicker baskets and light covers there on the property. I think he drives a taxi on the westend too. Sorry but his name escapes me at the moment, but I'm sure someone at the property would know how to reach him.

I have know Davis for many years now. Haven't seen him on the beach lately and hope he is OK. The true Wicker man you are seeking is Nigel. He has business cards printed up and is called "Wickerman" both on his cards and to his friends. He has built a round table and four chairs for our suite at the Point Village. Many people at the Point Village have his work in their suites. He also goes to Swept-A-Way and other AI's to teach wicker classes. His number is (876)278-0614

Sorry for being so late getting back to you rastaron. Too busy keeping moving so I don't freeze. Here is what Nigel did for us. He has since built 2 more chairs, a couple of lamp shades, and a few other things. Most importantly, he comes back to the Point Village every 2 years or so and re-vanrnishs everything and makes any repairs.
