I hear jingles in the air
they don't sound very far
i think Santa's first stop is

The reggae filled the air all through the night
As the man in the red suite flew into sight
The Jamaicans were all snug in their beds
nothing was moving not even their dreads.......................
The music was blasting,
The bikes were all out,
My wife looked around
Said, "What's this about?"
On Dasher,on Dancer, on Prancer and Vixen {not the name of Ja girls}
Theres rum punch to drink

The stockings were hung by the chalice with care
In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there...
Out in Mi Yard there arose such a clatter
I woke from my hammock to see what was the matter...
And what through a cloud of smoke should appear, but a big bag of herb and rolling papier
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,,,,,,,,everyone was Still up partying and Santa could not deliver the presents until they finally went to sleep around 4am.
And I heard him exclaim as he rode out of sight

Came the smell the jerk chicken searing on the grill
I drew up a list with all of my stops
I’ll be with my friends, the boardies and locks
With a red strip in one hand and in my left hand another
This Christmas in Negril will be like no other
No Burl Ives tonight, that’s not what you’ll hear
It’s Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and the great Burning Spear
So off to Cherala’s but just for the food
Then on to Ivan’s and Mary’s, then the Bourbon woo hoo
The rum is flowing, patio lights are all lit
I’ve just rolled some ganja - here mon have a hit
I end up at Alfred’s and feeling quiet frass
I slide off the bar stool right onto my ass
It’s time to head back for I’ve more than had plenty
I reach over the bar and hand Rudy a twenty
Out of the bar swaying, with red strip in hand
I can’t walk any further, I plant my ass in the sand
Whether it was the many Red Stipes, or the ganja I smoked
I swear that up in the sky I saw a flying fat bloke
He waved down to me and what did I hear

Mom in her swim suit and I in my shorts,
we were just settling down with a drink on the porch
When suddenly the tin roof shook with a clatter
I leaped from the hammock to see what was the matter
And what to my wondering eyes should appear,
A ladda bag of gifts, in a push cart; Oh Dear!
From under the bag emerged a big beard and long dreads,
a bigga with pipe, not Santa, but Rasta Claus instead.
He climbed in through a window and set right to work,
laying gifts of refreshments, ice cold, and hot jerk.
His red eyes did twinkle, as he climbed up the roof,
the presents were real; this was no spoof.
I heard him exclaim as his rode out of sight,
Sav is my next stop, to Negril a good night.
