stuff been moving really fast, and busy for me these past few days

ALL is good... correction...ALL is GREAT..!!..

after NewYear-stuff,
i should be caught-up
and slowed down
to the point where i can catch-up and fill you's in on whata-gwan

last night's was a BIG-BIG wake..!!..

and the band (in video) was out-of-sight..!!..

i looooove this type of Jamaican/African-music
yep yep.... it's PURE-African...!!..

and the dancing they do to the music...???...
WOW...!!!..
UN-Believeable..!!..

the band played NON-STOP
for over 3.5 HOURS..!!...
..the singer's voice NEVER cracked or got tired.

i haven't seen a group of musicians play so-loooong, with never-tire-ing energy since way-back when I saw the Jackson-5, when Micheal was a likkle-likkle pickney, with a big-nose, Afro-doo, and before him-bleach.

I AM gonna catch-up on these posts

a problem is,
that stuff been happening so fast,
and
a lot has to do with what i call::::>> "..peeling-back the Jamaican-onion .... layer by layer..."

a lot of what i at first may have intended to post,
changes
almost overnight,
with a subtle IMPORTANT detail, context, etc that needs to be shared
inorder for the post(s) to make-sense.

a LESSON re-learned
first-thing::>> always un-pack, and organize stuff right-away once you arrive

another LESSON, i've been following as best i can
DO NOT spend any-money for the first-week on nothing that's NOT-absolutly necessary.
'cause
those FIRST few days will WRECK your budget (for these long-term trips especially)

There is NO hurry ---- NO rush to do ANY-thing
Since i'm gonna be here for a while,
i have to constantly
remind myself,
that there's no-way i'm gonna make-up/catch-up on 2-years of being off-island.

so,
just chill,
go slow
and take-time

I'm HERE now,
so what's the big-rush

another *rule*
go super-slow for the first 7-10 days
for all the reasons mentioned above

by the waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
i honest & true-ly feel bad
for you-folks who only get to take short 1, 2, 3-week trips

if & when-ever you can
you's GOT TO do AT LEAST 1-month down here
it's a *different* fun-filled experience,, TRUS-me..!!..

'tis probably because
of all these likkle showers
and the high humidity
we've been experience-ing this past week

plus,
as we speak
i'm IN-Lucea-town,
with it's pot-holes and other likkle water-collecting spots, here & there

as you probably know,
mosquitos
hatch/pop-out when the conditons are just right,
...'til then they kinda lay low/go-dormant/or something.

Find you a bush doctor and ask him for NEEM .....my legs and ankles last year were just like yours and it will help with the itching. He will tell you how to prepare it. It is amazing stuff!!

Thanks for the report smith! Those old-time mento type bands are the greatest! Kind of like you find at PeeWee's birthday bash, however I heard Count lebbe died. What a shame.
