Chicken Lavish was really good.

We had Tony's jerk last year and loved it. Right across from Pee Wee's. Went back for seconds, but he had run out of food. Chill Awhile gets better every year and I think it's the best on the beach. Canoe, Rockhouse, Best in West. Would like to try Auntie's Thrill Corner this year.
jerk chicken barrel guy across the street from Rooms, he also has great soups,Chances pizza, Jah bs, Aunties thrill corner for patties, the lobster guy walking the beach daily, three dives, soon come
Sharks on the cliffs (across from Tensing Pen & next to Ahbee's) has been my favorite 2 years in a row!!! Delicious & reasonably priced!
Chill Awhile, Chicken Lavish, LTU, Pee Wee's (breakfast) are my usuals.
Red Dragon for some of the best jerk pork, Canoe for everything plus their two for rum one punch , Cool Spot, Chances and Angela's for pizza are all good. Our favorite is Ozzie's Top Taste (dinner) which is across the beach road from Ozzie's Jerk Centre which is also very good and both reasonably priced. There are many, many more which is the great thing about Negril. Have fun!
Soon come can't come soon enough!
Jenny's on the West End, great breakfast as well. Her food has FLAVOR.....
Trevor's Caribbean Grill which is on Alaska lane (directly across from Old Negril Yacht Club). I had his brownstew chicken and his brownstew conch last reach and both were delicious.
Yeah, so glad to hear Trevor is doing well! He is such a hard worker and a great guy!
West End: Both of the Rockhouse restrauants, Hungry Lion, LTU Pub, Ivan's at Catcha, 3 Dives, Pee Wee's, Sips n' Bites, DeBar, Ciao Jamaica, Xtabi, Chicken Lavish & Canoe.

Good luch choosing... Have a GREAT Trip!
Try the pan fried snapper at Sharks...Mmmmm :)
I am going to go with my condo this trip....going to be cooking some meals for me and mi Jamaican Family! :)
Do NOT forget "The German Bar".....GREAT PIZZA...quick, quick, .. Cold beer. Just past canoe.
Country Country, Sips n Bites, Sweet Spice, Best in the West, Ivan's. Charela is good too, great desserts...also Canoe Bar (Pineapple Chill!)...lots yet to try after 4 trips!
Was just in Negril for 2 weeks. Went to Country, Country 4 times. Excellent food, excellent vibe. Sunset After Dark was new to us, and we loved it. Went there twice.

Breakfast - Goa - Banana Pancakes and Rum Cream Coffee
Lunch - Alfred's Fish n Chips and lots of Red Stripesssssssssssssss
Supper - Bigg's Barrel Chicken next to Hidden Paradise..........as I say no choppy choppy :)
Smokehouse.....24 days and counting.....party on mon!!!
My top three are Pee Wee's, Jenny's and Burger King. Never eat Burger King here but we love the one in negril.
Country Country is nice for coffee and breakfast if you're on the beach. Jenny's Bakery if your on the cliff side. As well I've called ahead and enjoyed Tensing Pen's yard for breakfast and their pool.
As for eating later, I love a snack from the Healthy Food Shop (at the round a bout).
For later, Chicken Lavish is my favorite. Love their goat, steak, king fish, sweet & sour chicken, fried chicken, and veg!
Wow...Where do I start? Negril's "mom and pop" restaurants are great......absolutely GREAT!!! I'm always looking for others though. Many are already mentioned above and I agree with all. Juicy J's has incredible fried chicken as did Choices (although it has recently changed owners). Hope it's still as good. Looking forward to trying others like Fatties etc. and would welcome recommendations for NEW places to try.
Was disappointed with Sunset After Dark, food was okay but the service was beyond bad (even for Negril).
Had a lobster pizza from Ciao Jamaica this trip, very tasty, lots of garlic!
And of course, for us, our go to place is Best in the West :)
Will be there late feb, going to for sure go to Ivan's blue mahoe and Ozzies jerk ...so many good places can't wait to try some new ones
Almost forgot the pork guy on the beach...spicey with cold red stipe, as good a lunch as you will get.Just got to make sure to get him before he sells out
Dean is the jerk pork guy on the beach…he walks up and down the beach around lunchtime with a big silver box. (we snagged him around Idle Awhile) He usually has spicy and mild versions, sometimes with roasted breadfruit…very good :) Can't remember the price…

Dean's pork is awesome, $500 JMD for a small, $1000 for a large. He raises his own pigs.
Favorites on this trip:
Canoe: really great sauces, house Shrimp dish is amazing, as was the snapper special.
LTU: only place to get two visits on this trip, love the snapper stuffed with callaloo and cheese, great atmosphere
Ivan's: Excellent food and atmosphere
Rockhouse: Pushcart not bad, but we walked out of the main restaurant after seeing the menu, didn't seem Jamaican enough for our last meal and very expensive, ended up at LTU instead, very happy.
Corner Bar: Great local food at a cheap price
Sweet Spot: also great cheap local food
Soup place at Yellowbird: many taxi drivers eat here, great, cheap soups, try the fish or red bean.
Rainbow Arch: delicious, slow, order and come back in an hour
Chill Awhile: very disappointed this trip, was told they have a new chef
Alfred's: love the fish and chips
Bigga's in Green Island: best jerk chicken, hit it on the way into Negril
3 Dives: another favorite
Every trip is different..... Here are my favorites from Nov/Dec 2013
Best in the West- 1/2 chicken w/rice & peas & cole slaw for $10 (I think the price is up to $12-probably because of all the good reviews)
Kuyaba - Pepper Shrimp and snapper w/ a callaloo sauce (not cheap but was worth 2 visits)
Charela - Pasta, pasta, pasta. Loved it with fish, chicken or veggies. If you stick to pasta it is pretty cheap too. Comes with a salad and good bread. Went 3 or 4x
Alfreds - fish & chips (it has never disappointed)
Firefly pancakes, Lena's breakfast,
Annie's BLTs, Tree House pork chops,
Antie's Chill Corner patties & jerk
Ozzie's jerk
One of my favourite moments is when after waking up, I realize that I am in Jamaica! And looking over to see if Mrs Dash is awake . Then anticipating The Treehouse breakfast buffet. Omelet or Belgium waffles with ginger syrup, ackee salt fish with callaloo and festivals or just banana bread and fresh fruit. Or one of each! Best breakfast in Negril. Can't wait!
Our Favorite is Ivans at Catcha.....Then Kuyaba and Charella........Norma's used to be on the list but I think they are still recovering from the fiasco from a couple years ago.....Hope they got it back to normal.........For breakfast.....Idle Awhile or Sherita's.......
Ken
Saeyedoc, did you try CC for dinner? Did you enjoy your stay or were you longing to get back to Nirvana?
Our fav's Jus Natural, 3 Dives, Chicken Lavish, Canoe, Jah b's, Best in the West, Rainbow Arch, Chances...for pizza, Firefly for pancakes of coarse and chicken from the barrel.
We did not have dinner at CC. Their menu is very limited and they don't have fresh seafood. They did offer to cook seafood for us if we buy it from one of the fishermen, but we never got around to it.
CC is very nice, but it really can't compare to the Owner's Villa at Nirvana. We felt like we were back home when we moved mid trip. Just not the same level of privacy, missed having a full kitchen, beach isn't as nice, but the main thing is the view. Nothing like a view of the ocean unobstructed by buildings.
For someone that wants more of a full service place to stay, with a bar and restaurant, CC is a good choice.
We ate at Sips & Bites a bunch of times the last 2 trips as our hotel is right beside it. They are awesome there! Their food is great. They are closed on Saturdays, I believe. Many locals - hotel workers, taxi drivers - eat there and take out from there.
Da Bar! Connies! Chicken Lavish. Rockhouse and Pushcart (loved Pushcart); Lingah by the Sea (by Negril Beach Club Condos - wonderful food and unique table clothes, believe it or not ...); Seastar; Ivan's at Catcha (many good memories there although next time I will go with GerryG on his scooter BEFORE dinner :) - and there's a great little place right by Moonlight Villas - I think that might be Pee Wee's. So many good places to eat!
I am making a list from this post of new places to try out in Feb. when we go! And as one of our family has already pointed out ... I have never had a bad meal in Negril .... nor a bad drink, I might add!
