Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Hello Boardies!
Heading back to the "rock" 2nd week of march. (Was) going solo, until a couples buds found out…now it is a group of 3.
So anyways…looking for accommodations on the beach ( or across the Blvd ) that would be fitting for all 3 of us, prefer something with at least 2 bedroom but not overly expensive. We do get a little crazy on occasion…so nothing TOO quiet. Any & all ideas would be much appreciated.
Peace!

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Try to get an apartment at White Sands - perfect for 3 guys on the beach.

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Three separate small cheap rooms might b better. Never know when someone might need some privacy
-
Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Rent a hotel room plus a 2-bedroom cottage at YellowBird. Everyone gets their own ensuite bathroom and the cottage is you headquarters for the vacay...

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
What's your budget?
Bourbon beach might be worth a shot.
White sands has cheap rooms

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Trying to budget $200-$300/nt.
Great suggestions so far…keep em coming.
Anyone stay in the house at Rayon or the 2-bedroom at NBCC??
-
Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
I was going to suggest those two spots along with Rondel Village, but was unsure of your budget.
-
Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Oh wait..l read Negril Treehouse not NBCC. So, Negril Treehouse, Rayon, and Rondel Village.
-
Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Also…if any of you have stayed in any of the bigger rentals ( condos, apt's, etc.. ) a quick run-down would be helpful.
thx!!

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
its hard to beat seastar with a free shuttle to the beach.
-
Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
I was going to say Seastar but they poster said they wanted the beach.
If I was going with a couple of friends I'd book the Seastar apartment and be safe, cared for, and catered too.

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
What about the 2 room suites at cocolapalm? They aren't pricey (within your budget). We stayed in those with another couple our first stay at coco. They are in the older section, so nothing fancy, but worked well for us.

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
hey big frank, I think anyone that has ever stayed at seastar knows what you're talking about. it's my favorite place in Negril.
-
Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Does the seastar have any apt's with 2 bdrm or are they all single rooms?
What time does their shuttle run?
-
Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Go to their web site and check out room 10. It's the apartment, but it's in high demand so check the dates available.
They also have budget rooms you could add to the apt and still come in under your budget.

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Have stayed at Coco Lapalm and am going back there this year with 8 of my closest girlfriends in March......but seriously, they have the BEST piece of beach, are centrally located and have great, clean rooms and come with a continental breakfast. You will not be disappointed! IMO
-
Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
I would recommend Treehouse and Coco in a heartbeat.. But not for 3 single guys! Get yourself to Seastar ASAP!! They will get you to the beach and provide a safe comfortable retreat. If you open your trip at their sat nite bash you will meet all sorts of people. Good times

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Okay, Dash? What are you saying? lol
The wild partiers stay at Seastar? The women are prettier at Seastar? The bar scene is more social there?
Cause you're kinda makin me want to stay there. :-)

(Please dont take offense boardies that may read this a negative way...)
Personal, if I wanted to be around a bunch of experienced North America's, way up on the cliffs, waiting around for a shuttle to take me to the beach, then Sea Star is an awesome hotel. Beautiful gardens, tranquil vibes, can't say about the food but the drinks are good....
If I wanted to be around a variety of vacationers, right on the famous Negril Beach, in the center of a lot of activity, with easy, cheap local taxi fare to take me anywhere... to Sea Star perhaps....then a hotel on the beach would be the way to go...IMO.

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
I don't think that I would go with Seastar either. Coco La Palm, White Sands, Kuyaba...definitely stay on the beach. I know there are a lot of Seastar lovers on this board, but went for a buffet and music and it wasn't my thing.
-
Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
I agree, I loved Seastar for going Solo or couples, but 3 guys on the beach is the way to go. Being where the action is and being on the Beach where things are happening is the way to go.

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
40+ seastar sounds great
20 somethings BEACH

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Great!! Now I'm more confused than ever....lol . Every time I lean towards trying the Seastar Inn someone talks me into staying on the beach side. " FOR REAL "
though thanks to all for the input, very helpful & gave me a few (new) things to think about. Either way it will be a delight to be back in Negril!!!

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
I don't come all the way to Jamaica to not be able to walk a few feet at at least see the Sea, just sayin'.
-
Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
hell i'm almost 60 and want to at least WATCH the action on the beach, and i love being able to walk and eat --- or lounge and eat
now if i was just trying to find a clean place to flop and i was 3 single men --- i'd book that double wide right in front at Jahb's walk through Roots Bamboo - about $35 per night - bathroom - restaurant - cross the street --- BAM - beach
MAYBE if i had a sweetie i'd stay on the cliffs . . . for now i visit the cliffs for food lol

Re: Where should the 3 Amigo's stay???
Go for the beach.
My buddy and I stayed at White Sands in Aug. He was a first timer. He loved it. we spent no time in the hotel. It's a good spot on the beach.

I am pretty sure there are 2 double beds in the bedroom and 2 twins in the living room.
