**on-site Trip Report [[ Friday evening ....... 01/17/14 ]]

TODAY (friday) I was ROB-ed ... money taken... Thief-ed..!!

it happened,
1/2 thru my jog from-country to BullsBayBeach

i was out & about
looking around
checking out what had changed over the years

and a LOT has changed....!!.
all for the good
:-)
where there were once likkle single room board houses,
there're now HUGH homes:::: wall houses
with MULTI-rooms and MULTI-levels
,....some 3-stories high

true-ly amazing what's happened to the area over the past 2+ years

nevertheless,
at BullsBay (one of my fav beaches)
i couldn't resist the temptation
and
JUMP-ed into the sea

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

water was soooooooooooooooooo nice

this was the first-time this-trip that i've gotten into the sea

well,

idiot me, forgot
i had Ja$500 in my running short's pocket

and while lolly-gaggin' in the sea,
the sea robbed me

it beat me up,
tossed me around::: THIS way & THAT..!!..

and::::>>> tried to rip-off my running shorts,
and in the process
it SNATCH-ed my money

* sigh *

be careful down-here in Jamaica
'cause you-too might get robbed.

trip report-wise,
over these past couple of days,
PLEASE forgive me.

i've been doing a LOT of chillin'
...marinate-ing

*enjoy-ing* all these likkle rain showers we've been having lately

no biggies,
but (to me) just pesky likkle things:::: rain means mud::: ... more dampness::: .... more itchy-thing-ys::: .... some mosquitoes hatching.

dunno why,
but things ain't drying out now-days, as i would like

so it goes

i'm not exactly sure what you're referring to.

first of all,
there is NO *official* rest-stop at BullsBay

in fact,
there's no *official* rest-stop any-place between the airport and Negril.

I don't know all the in's & out's of the situation(s) and/or *arrangement$*/*understanding$* that have been set-up between drivers and businesses, BUT my *guess* is that drivers will steer their tourist passengers to places where they have a "..one hand washing the other.." relationship ...... and/or the stop/business could/may belong to a family-member (e.g., brother, mom, cuzin, wife, etc etc)

that said,
within the BullsBay area, two places come to mind:::: The Golden Apple and Global Villa..... Yes..!!.. they're both still there,,, doing VERY WELL, too.

a likkle further down the road,
is a place that sits road-side
at the bottom of a looooooong white staircase ::::: it too is still there doing bizness

my experiences with all those places (above) is that they mark-up the prices significantly, to accommodate the foreigner/tourist with heavy-heavy pockets/pocketbooks/purses/wallets ...... when right next door, and/or just a couple steps down the road is another *local* establishment with a very-different pricing scheme, (i.e., more local-friendly).

Ha .... the sea robbed me that way once ~ I was too cheap to just let it go .... I was searching & searching the waters & shore; someone realized what I was doing - they found it in the spot they were in. I got my precious bit of money back.

there used to be a restaurant right across from the beach. nice white building.right on the corner, used to be called Bay view, then Bay rest stop. i guess its not open.I miss Miss Chillie.
