Re: Raise your hand if you've fallen in love -- or MORE in love -- in Negril
I met my wife in Negril at Pee Wee's. We crossed paths the year before but didn't actually meet until the next year. We hit it off right away and visited back and fourth after we came home. She lived in Canada and I'm from the US. The next year we shared a room together in negril and continued the long distance thing when we got home, me going up there and her coming down here. Spent a ton on flights and long distance. That next summer we got married here in the states. That was in 20001. We've been doing great ever since, she's my soul mate. We will back in Negril in February. So for us Jamaica will always be special. You never know when or where you are going to meet that special one.

More in love with the wife each time, it's just one component of the Negril effect.
Spending time with her in a place where everything is pretty much wonderful gives us a recharge, kind of refreshes the bond that gets lost in everyday
hectic life.
I also met my mistress, Jamaica, in Negril. I met her about 10 years ago, and it was love at first sight. The problem is that the more I see her, the more I feel the need to be back in her arms. I think of her daily, try to figure out ways to see her more often and for longer stretches. I look at airfare at random times just to see, even though I know I couldn't go at that time anyway. I also read a message board about her every night, sometimes during the day. Watch webcasts, documentaries, any random show that pops up on cable that mentions her, and dream about her on occasion.
Just glad my wife loves her too.

We had our first long haul holiday together here and we got married last month here........Negril is the ONLY place I'd want on my marriage certificate!. Negril is with me for life.
Is it silly to say, "I feel blessed!"

My husband and I have been married for 32 years, and we tell people that Negril is a large part of what has kept us together.
It's our yearly time to reconnect, recharge and remember that person that we fell in love with in the first place.

Engaged in Negril at the Lighthouse Jan 1999, 15 years later still feels like 1999. Ja Bird and I still stay at the same place and wouldn't change a thing. I still remember the first time on a reach someone said welcome home. Negril will always be our other home. It truly is the place of love.

My husband and I were married on the beach in front of Grand Pineapple on February 14, 2009. We'll be back celebrating 5 years next week! Also, that same evening during sunset, our very good friends got engaged while on a stroll down the beach. They kept it a secret until we returned home because they didn't want to take the spotlight off our special day, but we couldn't of been happier for them! One love.

My husband and I met in Jamaica in 1978 have been married 35 years this past January. Raised 3 kids who love Negril just like their mom and dad. We will be heading back to Negril next week, lot has changed but much has not. We still love like we did back then, consider ourselves to be the luckiest people we know to have found a lasting love.

Re: Raise your hand if you've fallen in love -- or MORE in love -- in Negril
We met on my first visit and first hour on the beach in 2001. I was super-cautious so we were friends a couple years before I began coming to see him. Each of us had responsibilities at home and migration wasn’t in the cards. I tried to visit a couple times a year although once more than a year passed. Texting became an exquisite lifeline. In 2009 I was determined to make a 3-month visit. With some adjustments everyone back home got along without me, so I kept planning the next long stay. That’s when we really began to know the person we’d fallen in love with and I started thinking about living here. 160-character texting is still our primary communication whenever we are apart :)

My wife and I married on Bloody Bay beach in 1995 - was very lovely before those awful RIU properties were built. We still come to enjoy Negril with fond memories. We celebrate our anniversary on Valentines Day
