6th visit... need advice for a "budget trip" this time around

Budget friendly/all inclusive. You are reaching. If you do happen upon a place let us all in on it.

Grand pineapple would be closest

Try Fun Holiday or Merrills both have AI options

Sevenmile,
Is it just you or you and another or you and family? I used to do AI, but this board convinced me to get off campus and explore. Now I wouldn't consider an AI option. It is much more affordable for me to go non AI.
I can understand if you want to know up front what your vacation will cost, but once I took the chance it was much cheaper to go non-AI. The only exception I ever had was when I did a package deal with a charter flight. The total package w/ the charter flight was cheaper than the air fare I was looking at with my favorite airline, but..... the charter flight was horrible, so I won't do that again!
Good luck,
VVHT

Budget AI?? Maybe fun holiday, legends, or grand pineapple.

just the wife and i. been to negril 5 times and have stayed at many places. grand pineapple would be great but sold out for the end of feb. going to try kuyaba i think

Kuyaba isnt AI but very nice. I like the look of cotton tree hotel and coral seas garden.

Seawind has an AI option also. Fun Holiday seems like a fun place and the lunch buffet was good (we paid ~$10 USD for the meal). Other than that check the big AI on the north end of the beach.

all you have to do for food is sit in your lounger while it passes by --- jerk pork, lobster, ice cream, fruit, cotton candy
and if you want chicken --- just walk to beach road --- and don't forget to try the soup
a short short walk in any direction yields food and drinks - PLENTY of excellent food nearby - by a variety of cooks
enjoy!

Things are getting sold out on the beach. when I booked a few weeks ago I found a lot of places booked up. Better hurry up and decide.
