Some pictures from our bar crawl in December. Nice spot, supposedly very pretty at night... The service was very good, the young ladies were wonderful and we got the chance to speak with the a couple of the owners...

It is the old Tenby,s on the bay, they were just getting ready to open when I was there in December, Canadian owners I was told, must be good!,lol
Years ago it was the R-Bar run by dat Pirate Ed. The past few years they've done a lot of work on the building.

Rode past it several times last month. Wanted to go; but in 10 days; you can't do them all.
A couple of young lads from Toronto (but we won't hold that against them :rolleyes:) and they told us they have a Jamaican partner as well. They have big plans for the place. They're trying to go for the ambiance of a downtown Toronto nightclub. Good luck to them!Quote:

Only wish I would have checked it out in early Jan. Really looks great! Plus, that seating looks as if it MIGHT be really comfortable. That is not an easy feat!! Let us know Captain!!:)

We were married at tenby's in 1986. It wasn't opened when we were there in dec. can't wait for next year.
We went to it on the One Love Bus Tour with Lenbert and it was a good experience. The upper seating area was awesome and the view was unmatched in that area of the cliffs! :)
I was gonna post my pics...but I see the Two Nuts have already posted theirs. I was there with them. I am in one of the photos above....lol. I'll post mine anyway.
It has great views and its a beautiful spot. I plan to stop in there for a few some evening in March.

We were there last night. Right across from Chicken Lavish (damn the fried chicken is good). Sky Bar is a spectacular spot with a great view down Long Bay and a kind of retro, Miami Vice look. As of last night, the bar is only partly opened. The bar was empty. 2 German girls - very entertaining - were behind the bar which was sparsely stocked. They said tha after the opening and a big New Years, the 2 Canadian owners had a disagreement so one ripped out all the fixtures etc that he installed and left. Trying to recoup and open by mid-Feb. They also have 8 rooms ready to reopen.
A rocky start ( no west end pun intended ) to what looks like a chic place with a whole lotta upside.
Will do my best to infuse the place with cash and that ballin swagger I am known for ;-)... Tongue firmly in cheek.
And I agree Sabu... Chicken Lavish is out of this world amazing.
How were the prices?
