Should be 5 - 7 US
Ouch!
I'll second that, Ouch! I likes mi Vodka.
Sheesh... The only time I ever really drank a lot of rum was in 1986 in Cuba...that's until I found out you could buy Russian vodka at The tourist store for $1.10/26 oz and you could bring it to a bar as long as you bought their cola..d**n near became an alcoholic after three weeks of that!
Smirnoff might be 4 US
If there is any consolation you can buy it at the airport duty free for $12 liter on you way home.
Soon come can't come soon enough!
I don't care about having it at home...well I like it at home too...
Chris55, most bars will sell a 'flask' (the small bottle) and a bottle of soda/juice. Im not sure of the price but I do know this is a cheaper way to have your drinks than buying individually. Maybe someone will chime in with the price of a flask.
$16 for a bottle of Absolute upon Arrival at Sangster.
Smirnoff seems to be the most common vodka in negril....
I think we paid around $7 a drink for absolut at bar b barn two years ago. found out when the tab came in at the end of the night. ouch for sure
Try Janette's Delish Delight! It is next door to Rondel and they have great drinks and great prices. The food is also excellent. $2.50 Rum Punch & it is strooooong.
$3.50 Smirnoff at Janette's
vodka and coke ???..i'm sorry but i just can't get by that...lol
sometimes I walk with my bubba keg and order food or snacks from the bar instead
Try it...lol..Absolut vodka and Coke Zero... I live close to the US border...they will give me generous shots for about $3.50. I rarely have drinks in a bar here in Canada actually...I'm guessing I'd pay about $6.00 for 1 oz shot. I tend to have more drinks on vacation...doesn't everyone?
Try a Moscow Mule, it's vodka, ginger beer and half of a squeezed lime.
Absolut is my mixing vodka. I used to love Grey Goose on the rocks and now my favourite is Siku..keep it in the freezer cause I like my drinks real cold..I also like Martinis but rarely have those in the tropics...heck...I'll just be happy to be sitting on the beach..I may even acquire a taste for rum..
Ya never know. Before my travels to JA I was a vodka drinker. Started in JA with vodka and ting. But now I'm mostly a rum drinker. My fav is now rum and ting. Perhaps your preferences will change.
I'm willing to try Sam I Am,..
J-Wray is the only way.
The Vodka produced on island is perfectly fine for mixing. Support your local island distillery.
i always started my daily motorcycle country tour with a que of vodka .ting..a large bowel of ice...but never before my morning cup of java...
Under a thousand Jamaican dollars for 750 ml (25 oz)
Or at the airport duty free; about 8 dollars U.S.
Thats cheap! Taste wise which vodka would you compare it to? Even when I'm mixing I like a smooth vodka.. yea.. I know.. I'm a bit of a vodka snob but I figure I'm worth it.. :) Local vodkas can be really good for much less price.. as long as you know which one to buy
The 8 dollar Rum Bar Vodka we brought home was pretty good, but the Kirov I think with the blue Kremlin on the label was better.
It's a Wray and Nephew product.
