Trip report 4th trip and still lovin it

Wife (Sandy) and I just got back last night from our 4th trip to Jamaica. 3rd to Negril we love the weather and got home late last night around 12:30AM Shoveled out driveway till 2:00AM just so I could get the car in and the luggage out.
Was ready to go right back to Negril as soon as I pulled up in front of the house to 2 feet of snow plow packed snow blocking our driveway yippy!

We left From Buffalo airport on Jan 31 for a 10 day trip split between Sunset at The Palms, Country Country & Beach House Villas.
Wanted to experience Bloody Bay which was a first for us and work our way down long bay to see which part we liked best.

Booked Steve Positive for our driver. More to come with some pictures as I get time. Been busy after our return.

UGH, snow plow packed snow, the worst kind!

I guess this is kind of like when I go to JA in July and return to my house with the AC off... takes the AC 4-5 hour to bring the house down to 90F! Hmm... I will take that over snow any day :) Can't wait to read more about your trip!

Booked our ride to Negril with Steve Positive Tours through Negril.com. Steve has a great help in the office (His Sister) Who always is quick to reply and very helpful.
Steve provided us with a free cell phone to use during our stay. This was a first for us and we will now always have the phone.
Steve is a very friendly guy and was on time and waiting for us at the Airport as agreed with no let downs. Everything he promised was there organized and ready right down to the beer in the cooler. This picture was actually taken when Steve arrived to pick us up to go home but you get the idea.

We must have been at Country Country at the same time, we were there 2/1-2/9 in 522

Anyway we got acquainted with Steve he told us stories about the Black Crows and local info and we chit chatted as we rode. We had a list of requests to pick up before our first Hotel. Sunset at the Palms. My wife loves her Appleton genesis and Coke light. We picked up some Genesis at the Airport so Steve made a stop and ran in to check about the Coke light....no coke light so off we go to Hilo in Negril. Got the Coke changed some money next door and off to Sunset.

I have more pictures somewhere of SATP but you get the idea with this pic. Situated across the road from Bloody Bay it is a very quiet small AI that we have always wanted to try ever since we saw it from the outside. We had room 414 very nice with a private deck.

Peace and Guidance

This was a short notice vacation for us. Work has been very demanding and we missed even taking a vacation last year :(
This year we wanted to split it up between 2 places and ended up with 3. We contemplated Cliffs/Beach but the gravity is much too strong for us and we stuck like glue to the beach.

Sunset at the Palms was very nice and I figured why not start out pampered with the AI in the beginning and work our way back into things before heading out for more adventure.
We really enjoyed the Buffett's trying a little of this and a little of that. We skipped the formal dining at SATP as we feel things like that take too long and we wanted more us time doing as we pleased.

The room was nicely decorated and the bathroom was really nice with tiled shower with 6 shower heads that could be run in different combinations.
The bed was nice n large but a bit tough on the back. We dealt with it and usually walked it off the next morning.

It was a rainy 10 days but the first night provided a beautiful sunset that we watched from the beach at Bloody Bay.Attachment 33655

We watched till the sun was swallowed up by the sea. What a nice end to a day of hustle and bustle on the first day of travel.

We went back to our room had dinner and checked out the evening entertainment at the pool bas at SATP. Took it easy had a few drinks and called it a night....Well eventually ;)
