Discovered this site this afternoon and had to share. The "old timers" on the board might know or be the "Hippies" in some of the photos.
Be sure to check out the Photographer's bio. Very fascinating life.

Yea, Dave, I just saw that when I went there. Great photos.
I put my boats at Sands Club in 1974. Grate picture. Wish I could see more
BTW. anybody want to talk about how wide the beach is/was
Great photos of the old days. I don't recognize anyone, but I sent the link to some other old timers.
Thanks for the post.
Regards, Bob
Nice photos!
Wow, I loved looking at those pics
You just made this cold snowy night a lot warmer! Thanks so much....I can only dream of how Negril looked in the early days. I could look at these all night!
Great pics, thanks for the link. The photo trip back in time reminds me of Arthur's on the beach, very first beach bar in Negril c. 1952… and great jerk chicken too. People know about this place, don't they?
I was at the Negril Sands as a twelve year old in the mid 70's. I was enthralled by Negril and all of Jamaica then and still am!
Does anyone know if Arthur's Bathing Beach is The now Arthur's Golden Sunset?
Howdy, about forth from last is Xtabi, i believe, maybe just Old Donavan???
I know that bar intimately!
Cheers!
p.s. got old polorids from early 70's but they're getting frail.
I looked in Miami; I looked in Negril; The closest I came was a month old bill.
Where was the sands club located?
Just North of what is Seaspalsh now

Thanks, Marcia! Very cool.
I looked at the young men & thought they are probably old men now.
When I looked at the date & did the math, I sheepishly realized some would be about my age now.
Not so old then!!!! ;) LOLOL
Hi nurse Marcia: hope you are well. It took me awhile to find this post from a year ago. A few weeks ago I started to receive a group of photos by email, 10 or so a day (robinjamaica) . I don't know if you generated them, but if you did, I thank you very much. They are stunning and remind me so much of my hippie parents and my sister and I being in Negril for the first time in the 70's. A very special time .
Fantastic nostalgic look back without hotels and a great beach.
Here's Elinor in 1982 and "Shakin' Bone" and the band:
