Swordfish restaurant...amazing!

We stopped at this place on the out crawl and lived the view and the staff. Ate here last night and it was simply incredible! I had red snapper steamed in coconut milk, my husband had regular grilled red snapper, my girlfriend spicy red snapper and her husband shrimp and lobster. All sauces are homemade and amazing! His staff remembered me from the pub crawl...probably cause I was dancing Jamaican style..or because I was sticking my head in the kitchen. We talked about that actually..lol..the owner, whose name escapes me at the moment..so bad with names...said a good kitchen and washroom are the first things he looks at..me too! You will not be disappointed at this place.

My wife loves the lobster Mac and cheese there. Going tonight after drinks at canoe she needs her fix.

What's the price range for a snapper dish?

Wife and I just returned from Negril....we ate out at a different restaurant every night and stopped by the Ice Cream Parlor (downstairs at the Swordfish) for dessert....we didn't know about the Rest. upstairs, but were very impressed by the courteous service............they are both served by the same waitstaff and were very busy upstairs at the Rest. when we stopped by, but asked us to wait a few minutes for our ice cream, then came back, served us, and thanked us for waiting......we will definitely try Swordfish on our next reach

It is a great place to eat or get desert, ice cream! I tried the lobster mac and cheese I December it was so good!

Yup..that's right.. I believe we paid about $35 each with drinks and we had conch soup and coconut shrimp (four if us shared that). Sooo...good.,tomorrow is our last night here and I believe we will go again..he has some Scotch Bonnet sauce that he is giving us. Great restaurant! We really have not had a bad meal in Jamaica.. More to come on my trip report when I have time.

Lobster mac and cheese, really good, but I think it should be called lobster alfredo, that's pretty much what it is! Anyway its really good!

Ate here again on our last night...can't say enough about this place..sooo delicious. Met gailnegril here and let the owners know that their restaurant was featured on the website. Saw repeat customers so it felt a little like Groundhog Day as we sat at the same table as last time and so did the other guests :D

How much is the lobster mac n cheese?

I don't remember for sure, I think it was around $15 maybe a little more, but was well worth it.

I think the best thing about Swordfish is the view. It is just amazing. As you can see in the photos, we tried a number of different items on the menu. All, but one, were very good.

We'd heard great things about the Mac and Cheese. Well. . . . maybe it was an off night, but honestly we couldn't eat it. We each took a taste and just set it aside. Which is really surprising because we aren't really picky eaters, especially Richie - he'll eat just about anything.

I would certainly go back. If for nothing more than that view.


PS: It's directly across the street from Chicken Lavish.

We ate there twice and I tipped=I had uncommonly great service and of course great food. My only minor complaint is they don't allow pictures of their menu because they don't want pictures of their prices posted. Also the menu out front does not have prices. No clue why.....their prices are very fair.

Lobster therm, conch soup, snapper....all awesome!

The above menu pics are a good example of what Swordfish serves but it looks like last years pricing.
I agree Eco...very fair pricing overall.
