Don't use Gas .....
Rambo always gives me super great deals, across from Travellers. Rent from him every spring and summer when I go to Negril, for the last few years.
Elvis across from CoCoLaPalm is where I went, rented for the 7 days , 30$ U.S. a day
He is closest to where we will be. We were thinking about renting from him. Rates not good?Quote:

We rented from Gas without any issues. He's quick to tell stories about people renting his bikes and trying to conceal when they damage them......would not like to lay down one of his bikes and have to deal with him. The lack of side kickstands was a pain in the asss!

Just a few words of caution. Do a thorough examination of the bike before you leave and photograph any existing damage. Although some liability is provided, expect it to have plenty of terms and conditions, exclusions and limitations. That being true, your well advised not to expect it to respond in the event of loss.
Use EXTREME caution when opertaing the scooter.
Gas is a tough negotiator. When we stayed at Home Sweet Home a few trips ago, He would call out to me every day as the entrance to our room overlooked his property. Finally, I stopped by his shop one day since my wife wanted to pick-up a couple beach towels (he sells crafts & souvenirs, in addition to scooter rentals). Rather than come down on the price on the towels - which I felt was high - he would just offer to throw-in some other items that I didn't want, such has a half-finished wood carvings. Well Gas might be a little hard to deal with --- sometimes -- and always with peeps who have no respect for the Ja way of life. If you started something, even with one arm he will stand up for himself. BTW, slander is uncalled for, anywhere.
document EVERY little scratch on the paperwork and by picture. Also check the gas before you pull out. Got 20 a day from hard negotiations with rambo in Dec. but he got me with the empty gas tank!
Lol. The guy can be hard to deal with. I have rented from him 7 times. Last time he gave me a BRAND NEW SCOOTER. I told him just rent me one of the others that was not new. He told me to get on the new scooter and enjoy myself. I had horrible nightmares about taking the scooter back ON A FLATBED TRUCK. I also had it washed before returning. He does not deal either. That much. You tell him how long you want it. He tells you the price. I have had ZERO ISSUES. But, as stated before, I would not want to lay down one of his scooters..
