Unofficial negri.com poll: Who is your FAVORITE hotel manager -- and why

I'll go first.

I have to vote for Chris from Seastar. The reason is the personal the he provides. The great Canadian is one of the few hotel owners/managers who will actually go out with you and have a good time, just as if he were a fellow guest. That's priceless.

Yes sir! He is hands on and provides the whole experience. Hence why every trip starts here.....

I have traveled all over and have yet to visit a place like Seastar or meet an owner like Chris.

One can only hope that he picks up a place on the water.

I would also have to vote for Chris. I have stayed at many different properties in Negril and Chris is the most involved manager/owner I have encountered and always in a positive way.

have stayed at many places since 1985 and my votes go to Petrona at Blue Cave Castle, and Jean at Negril Beach Club Condos -- great couple of ladies!

Miss Seanna anne Grant from Rooms, she treats us first class, she also did a nice party for repeat customers, she is awesome, soon come

I have a short list of places I stay and am friends with ownership and staff. Many of them are like family. That being said Petrona at The Blue Cave Castle is the best ever!

Without a doubt Chris Tomney of Seastar Inn gets my vote as number one and the assistant managers he employs are just as dedicated to guests as Chris and Francine are. Hats off to Samantha and Okema too.

I'm going with Jean from NBCC. She is very hands on with her guests, I enjoyed my short stay there and have even recommended it to others.

I vote for Jean from NBCC and Pansy from Rayon. Both ladies are hands on and very nice people. :)

Nicole Larson at Bananas Garden.

I rarely see BG talked about on here. Nicole at Bananas Garden is awesome. Bananas Garden is located across the street from Banana Shout and actually used to be apart of Banana Shout. She is an American that just became a Jamaican permanent resident. I love being greeted with a hug and since she is facebook friends with almost every guest she keeps up on your latest happenings. Bananas Garden is not ranked the #1 bed and breakfast in Negril due to being fancy, but good old customer service. Every day is a different jamaican style vegetarian meal. Only negative is that she is a Green Bay Packers fan yuck. I can go on and on. I'd also like to say that Seastar Inn is fantastic.

my vote is for enrick at hidden paradise. he takes good care of us without all the drama....

Jane from catcha falling garden AND Petrona from Blue Cave Castle.... they both know how to run a place and their good folks....

Gotta agree with Petrona at the castle. she's such a sweetheart always making sure everyting good without being all up in your face about it...

The Seastar get my vote, hands down. Chris and Francine and the entire staff are the Best. Stay there and you become part of the family. Can't wait for March 31 /2014 staying here again for an extended stay.

We like Enrick at Hidden Paradise he makes us feel like on of the family. He always greets us with a smile and a hug. For the cliffs hands down it's Chris of Seastar. Makes you feel right at home even if you aren't staying there. Both places take great care of all who come.

Andrea at Catcha Falling Star. I actually stayed there the first time largely because she'd moved there from Whistling Bird. She's not "the" manager but she takes fantastic care of me.

Never met Chris at Seastar but have had a terrific time with Francine and Linda.

Jean Gaynair at Negril Beach Club Condos. Professional, Honest, Respectful and hard working.

I agree with Ms. Jackson, hands down, she is my favorite. I have stayed many times and I am always treated as a family member by She and her staff at the Tree House.

I'm voting for Ms. Jackson at Treehouse! I'm a repeater of Ste A and her and her happy staff make me feel like I am coming home EVERY TIME!!! Can't wait to get back in April (and i'm not even running from cold weather - been a warm, great winter in San Diego!)

My vote goes for Gail Jackson. What other owner takes her guests paddle boarding ???

Don't have a favorite as of now because the resort we used to stay had a new manager pretty much give or take every year. So we are looking forward to getting to know Gail and her staff in April. And may I say the experience even before arrival has been a pleasure. Communication has been top notch and pleasant. And I can tend to (because of past experience) call several,times to make sure everything is in order for our stay.

To be fair the question was about our favorite managers. If it had been about owners then Gail Jackson wins in a landslide! Her commitment to her guests, her staff, and the community are unparalleled! We are looking forward to being back at Treehouse in 50 days!

Ms. Grant. At Rooms and Petrona at b.c.c.. Both wonderful to deal with and care about their guests

Gail Jackson at Negril Tree House is my favorite these days. She is really spending money to upgrade property & she is a Jamaican. She expects a lot from her staff & they give respect gladly...happy staff = happy guests!

Actually Gail is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. But she is still the best hotelier in Negril!

Jane from Catcha Falling Star Gardens because she and Joan always make sure your stay is safe, comfortable, and memorable with positive outlook. Never hurts to be a good polite guest as well not be a rude ...hole! For what you are paying daily compared to the waterfront properties that charge $99-$550>she runs on a tight budget quite a rare find on the west end. Big thumbs up!

Have to say Pansey at Rayon goes out of her way to insure her guest are well taken care of. I feel like family there.

Booger, I think you are approaching Marko-like numbers for how many places you have stayed at - very impressive. Please list all the hotels you've stayed at.

Gotta give Jane and Joan a big thumbs up too!!! CFSG is truly a sweet spot pon da cliffs!!

Plus, they have great canine managers of the property!! :) :)
