Country Country just put a nice Groupon deal out!!!
wow ! almost 1/2 off Thanks for posting. Maybe my kids can afford C,C at this rate!
I can't find it - Country Country has been on my to visit list. Where did you see it? I searched groupon and don't see it. Thanks :)
I did find it :) I think we may look into it - always liked the looks of CC. Thanks for the info!
Its a good deal and no blackout dates.
Good through end of July. Groupon offering 3 - 5 night deals, but you can combine 2 deals in one trip
I searched it and it said sold out
Don't know if this link will work but the sold out offer is old. There is a new one. Go to Groupon, search Getaways, Caribbean and scroll through them.

country country charges taxes on the full amount . . . not such a good deal after all . . .
I sent an email to check on the taxes - the 20% is on the amount of the voucher, not the full price. I do remember groupon or living social doing that though
in the past but apparently Country Country is taxing just the amount paid on this deal.
Yup, I think they learned from that last Groupon. It's a really good deal, especially if going before April 15th. Wish I were in the position to take advantage. Love it there!
nothing can touch hotelscombined.com .... anyone who doesn't use that site is a fool.
Gerry - I think it depends on when your going. I check all of the sites - $$ means 1 or 2 trips this year. Trivago got me $20 cheaper per night than any other site I checked for where I'm staying and I can cancel for no fee. Country Country is not even available on hotelscombined.com during the dates I'm checking.
Actually, I was a little harsh. If you're specific to one property, hotelscombined.com might not make a difference. The site is similar to trivago in that it comparison-shops a lot of sites. At any rate, much more effective than expedia or orbitz cause ocassionally you will get a 'mistake' rate through hotelscombined that is less than all others.
PS: I love the free-cancelation feature offered by some of the links. That way, you can take delight in pressing the button, not once but maybe twice.
what they say and do are two different things . . . first hand experience here . . .
Sorry to get off topic a little, but can somebody give me a rundown on country country. Far as how safe-will mosquitoes eat you no screen-or the pros and cons. Thanks all replies will be a help. Stayed at coco last couple years. Is there any way to compare. Thanks again
I've stayed at both, twice. CC is way more my style. Love it there. Coco feels too Americanized to me. Love the cottages at CC. Security and food is very good. It's not a social hub compared to Coco. Evenings have some people dining but no one seems to hang out at the bar. Expensive drinks. Food is MUCH better than Coco IMO. I only stayed at Coco because I got some really good deals. I did not have any issues with Mosquitos and most reviewers appear to have the same experience. I closed the louvers by 4:00-5:00 pm every day. Loved opening them in the morning and getting the sunlight coming in on all four walls. Hearing the beach and sea sounds. If you like an active bar scene at your hotel, and more people around, you'd prefer Coco.
Hmm, now I looked at that Groupon deal, and it's an amazing deal when you factor in airport transfers plus breakfast and dinner(!) ..... An incredilbe deal, actually. But, alas, it appears the promotion is over. I am wondering if there's a catch ....
I've stayed at both Country, Country and CoCo la Palm and will give my comparison. I had a bigger room when I stayed in a junior suite at CoCo. The kitchenette area was nice and there was lots of sq footage yet I far prefer the cottages at Country, Country. The porches with a table and chairs are a wonderful place to spend time and they feel so private even though other guests do walk by. At Country Country you get a fridge and electric tea kettle with tea service. You also get an extra daybed or futon in the room along with the King bed so there is extra seating. I've never had an issue with bugs even though the windows are not screened. They do have vape mats in each room in case bugs do get in. The included breakfast at Country, Country is some of the best I've had! The hot tub was nice at CoCo, never got in the pool and Country Country now has a pool. I've always found the office staff, kitchen staff, security, and Lee the go-to guy at Country Country to be very friendly and helpful. Its a place where you feel like you are a guest, not just a paying customer.
Gerry, you're looking at the 2012 Groupon. I got that one and it was great. This one does not include airport transfers or dinners. I calculated the price on the current one for a premium room...I think for the 5 night stay....it worked out to about $100/night including taxes and hotel fee. A good price compared to the $215ish/night high season...anytime from now to April 15th. I think low season is around $160/night for premium room give/take. Superior rooms are cheaper so pay attention to that when comparing prices.
Here's the current offer:
3-, 4-, or 5-Night Stay for Two in a Superior or Premium Room with Daily Breakfast at Country Country in Negril, Jamaica

my bad. much different deal. now it's a lot closer.
It's the same deal as you found for a superior room, only difference is the welcome basket. But, I was looking at end of March for a premium room which isn't available on hotels combined. Compared to the rack rate, it's a savings of over $100/night.
Booked for my first stay at Country Country!
Congrats justchuck! Enjoy!!
My recent experience with Country Country: when I contacted them for availability, dates were available but I was told "Sorry, don't think it will work this time."... That was confusing. After verifying available dates again, I was told "Three nights full payment would be required for confirmation".. When I tried to confirm & mentioned the Groupon, I was told "sorry, the Groupon valid dates starts on April 16 -July 31st. it is a summer promotion."... When I stated the Groupon info & that it can be used immediately based on availability, I was told "sorry, those dates are already sold out". Really? In the minutes that have just transpired? It seemed the Groupon use is discretionary.. And the interaction with CC was unprofessional, disappointing and a waste of time. It appeared that though dates were available, they would not accept the Groupon during high season, even though it stated no blackout dates & it could be used immediately based on availability.
So, buyer beware.. These deals aren't as easy to use as they seem sometimes and not always such a good deal. I previously purchased a Living Social Jamaica deal that in 4 trips in under 12 months, the merchant never had availability, and the deal could not be refunded.
