Between the two beers which one do you think is best? I've not tried the Dragon Stout, but seems like it would be like a German Stout beer.

If you're a fan of Guinness or Newcastle, you will LOVE Dragon Stout -- it's extremely sweet, even for a dark beer, and it's got a nice kick to it, too!
Neither...
Dragon Stout Spitfire, the high test 10% alcohol version of Dragon. Mmmmmmmmmmm
Actually Dragon Stout is like the "Irish" Guinness Stout. Top fermenting Ales are from the UK, bottom fermenting Lagers are more common in Germany. I believe you were thinking of a Double Bock style lager popular in Germany.
Dragon Stout is an Irish/English style Ale
Red Stripe is a Pilsner style larger
Both beers are considered very good Caribbean Brewed Beers. However, adjuncts ( like corn or rice syrup ) are used to brew both beers.
Enjoy,

You really can't compare the two like apples to oranges.
Dragon Stout is a heavy dark beer (I love it but due to the heaviness I can't drink too many or with food). Very comparable to Guiness or Killians and has more alcohol.
RS is a lighter pilsner which is more refreshing on a hot day and you can drink them all day long!!!!

it should be;
Dragon versus Guinness......or Red Stripe versus Red Stripe Bold........or Red Stripe versus Kingston......
personally I drink all 4.......but not that Red Stripe Light stuff........no way Jose
personally I think Dragon, Guinness and Red Stripe Bold are all great.......and of course Red Stripe is the old standby.....never had Kingston

I just wish they'd export DS to the US like they used to so I don't have to brew it myself, thank heavens they now sell Guiness FES here (the same Guiness sold in JA).
Technically the Dragon is different than Guiness as it's actually a milk stout - it contains (non-fermentable) lactose sugar like Lion stout does.
Lion Heart is no longer and sadly for me...we can no longer get Kingston Beer!
Ahhhhh a cold Dragon.....mmmmmmmmmmm
We can get Dragon Stout here in Ontario at the LCBO and its about the same price as in Jamaica! Not comparable to Redstripe at all but I like both, and Bold even better.
Attachment 3120 Comparing Stripe and Dragon
We were having this conversation in Feb.
I carry Guiness warm when I travel into the hills, warm bottle of beer between my legs as I drive, drink it more like sipping coffee.
With what seemed the most common beers at hand on the rock (excluding RS and RS Light) I made the observation that
Dragon warm was the hardiest
Guiness warm helped pass the day
Red Stripe Bold needed to be cold and fell right below Guiness and above Heinekin which I prefer cold also
