Any Spring Breaking going on in Negril?
There is no real "spring break" in Negril - unless you count less than a dozen students as "spring break". Yesterday we counted a total of 11 college age visitors in a single group.... (grin)
That's my kind of spring break! :p
I'm a graduate student and will be down on Spring Break next week. But I'm not exactly expecting the Cancun club scene I enjoyed in my undergraduate days.
Hille141,
Those 11 left today, and I counted 19 checking into a hotel around 3 today - so this may be the "big week" - nearly 20 breakers! (grin)
At Tamboo?
I just saw three co-eds inline roller skating towards Tamboo - Tamboo has their "Spring Break" sign on the beach, but no real sighting of any "breakers" there...
There is a wedding next month coming down that will bring down more people in one week than the former Spring Break has done this year...
There really hasnt been a serious "spring break" here since 2002... well over a decade now....
I think the parents should come down in mass in March and have their own break from their college age kids...
Like a grown up oriented "spring break"! (grin)
We are old and we have been coming to Negril during Spring Break, March and April, since 1998.
Thats because we always have been coming to Jamaica for Carnival in Kingston...always the week after Easter. And we combine that with a visit to Negril a week or so before.
Our last year was 2009, not many springbreakers like in 98 to early 2000's.
We never had a problem with the spring breakers...pretty mellow group now days.
Leaving tonite for Negril from LA. Used to be a non-stop flight via Air Jamaica, now thats over and that sucks to stop-over in Miami or Atlanta. Why do things always get worse...ha ha
Come to think of it,love of my life and I have also been going to Negril during "spring break"since 1999. It never has been over crowded.
Spring break 2005. Take off your pants!!!!!!! Wooooooohoooooooo. Florida Keys.
For what it's worth
Daytona Beach, the original spring break destination is having a record year. I live 30 miles North and they're everywhere.
I think Jamaica is too pricy for this generation
Cap
With the prices of airfare I think its getting to pricy for all generations!!
Grin Grin... I agree!! I recall being 4 months pregnant in March 2000 and having every balcony in our place filled with 10 - 15 college kids, pool in full swing, hot tub a complete swamp, and woo hooing until about 1/2 hour after sunrise...!! It was the worst.....for me. (grin)
