April flight prices?!?

anyone else think flight prices are high right now?
would love to bring the wife down from boston late-april but decent round-trip flights are about $800/each?!?

i have noticed they are higher….. Try Southwest.

no luck... i have an email alert set up with kayak.com hopefully some good deals pop up so i can get down for a visit :)

We bought last month for our April trip. Prices had been stable for months. Never paid so much in 15 years. Recent check showed prices are still at same level.

yeah, i saw good prices like 2 months ago but didn't pull the trigger. gonna end up paying for i'm sure :)
april is last chance to visit with my wife (trip 6) before having kids so no matter what i am coming :)

Wow, I just recently had this conversation....yes ticket prices are a bit extreme coming out of Atlanta!

they can't get much higher so i may hope for a very, last minute flight deal!

I booked about three weeks ago for apr 4 and I found a decent price on jet blue out of JFK. around 370 RT.

Be careful about waiting. We booked out of JFK 2 months ago. Paid $100/per ticket more than last time. I usually don't go back on and check prices once I book but I did it just for fun the other day and the flight was gone/full.

Yes! This is a trip we do just about every year! End of May for us..about $100 more per RT

Price from my area stayed the same for months, give or take $50. Still in the upper part of that range if travel dates are flexible.

We fly out of Baltimore. Only one non stop flight is available and that is Air Tran (soon to be Southwest handling the flights). I have never seen flight prices go down, so I always book as soon as the flights come available. Flight we booked in December is now over $200 higher than it was back then for an April trip. Guess it all depends where you fly out of.

Prices are high......and getting worse it would seem. We booked about a month ago for late April and noticed the same thing.

We ended up paying about $50 more pp than usual. But when I checked a few times after we were booked, the price just kept going up. Its now almost $200 more pp than we paid. Ridiculous!!! (but Im glad we booked when we did)

I wish I knew how the whole pricing thing worked, but every time I think Ive got something figured out.......something else changes.

Seven mile check Jet Blue out of Boston just found one out of Boston for $418 RT

VERY HIGH! Jfk-MBJ is pricing for our May trip direct flights with Jet Blue and Caribbean Air is almost $900 USD per ticket!

Southwest?airtran...do not use orbits, Kayak or many other online agencies.....You have to go directly to their Website...

I put in dates of April 23rd to april 30th

I bit the bullet and paid 743 when used to pay 400? For our June trip it is 943 I about puked but I take my kids internationally for their birthdays every year up to 18 as teens and this is where my daughter wanted to celebrate her 18th. Definitely rolled back my 5 trips a year to the island these last two years with these prices going up and up.

Any difference if you look at one-way reservations rather than round trip?
