Awesome POV video driving thru Negril from RIUs all the way past Westender Inn

This is a great helmet cam video of basically what I do in Negril, but a little faster. He drives from a hill then turns on N. Manley, heads past RIUs all the way thru roundabout and up the hill, past Ricks, then veers right all the way up past Westender Inn.

Morning drive, not that many peeps. This was shot recently.

Question, do we know exactly how fast this guy was going?

I had to turn it off at the 16 minute mark and take a break, sorry dude but it makes me super pissed to see something like this.

Thanks GerryG... What a great video for all those looking for a fix.. That guy was cruising.

i dont think he was driving THAT fast. Maybe 50 mph or so?

Gerry you know I'm a big fan of your videos and reports but..........

What I see is a guy blowing past everyone on the road that he encounters, as he approaches the bridge in town you can hear his tire squeal as he hits the brake, basically a tragedy waiting to happen. Check the kids walking to school.

On the open road, countryside yes I agree cool video, as he enters Negril and the hotel area, not so cool at all, and parts of the Westend, again way too fast for the conditions.

Sorry my friend just my opinion, from an ex-bike rider and son of a guy who spent the last 35 years of his life in a chair from going too fast on a bike.

Ya, maybe he is going too fast. But the local kids go MUCH faster.

Great video. As far as the speed, I do not think anyone on a bike can go from off the main road in Orange Bay, down the beach road, thru town, up the west end all the way to the Westender, into Westgate, down thru Mt. Airy and Good Hope out to the Texaco, and back to the roundabout in 33:53. That video had to be recorded in fast forward.

That depends on FPS the Gopro was recording.

Really cool video. Where is he starting out from, looks like a nice area of homes??

The last 10-15 minutes are a regular ride for me, though I go a LOT slower :)

Looked like some of the chartered transfers we've had from sangster to negril. More charters equal more $. I prefer a more relaxed pace with friends or in a route taxi.
