Thanks jojo... Suitcase is packed, double checked and I have mentally checked out 6 weeks ago. ;-) Yes that pic was a real time scene here in the north metro. Usually try to time these trips to ensure winter has finally flatlined upon my return. I fear that ol man winter isn't going down without a fight as was the case last year with May snow. I guess since I was dumb enough to build my life around this frozen hell scape, my take away is that I appreciate the Jamaican climate as much as anyone. Snow blowing, infinite hockey practices and window scraping is a tad easier with the Jamaican sun and sea dangling out there on the horizon. For that I am grateful.

We are 70+ inches here and just started a three day blizzard today.

Yeah this winter has been amazing. We're getting a couple inches tonight and tomorrow, then supposed to be cold for the first half of April. We leave in 58 hours, going from minus 15f to bliss. Soon come.

Weather is nice here in Los Angeles, but I am still consumed with leaving for Negril. Exactly 100 days right now.

It's been pretty amazing in San Diego this winter but a whole different amazing than the Canadians and Northern US have been talking about. Can't remember a warmer winter EVER! Went to a nearby beach last Sunday and it was 87 ...YET...still counting the days (15 to be exact) til my plane leaves for JA. It shows you that it's not just the weather there - it's the everyting there!

This winter has made me so white that I would glow in the dark on Long Bay right now.

we got 56 inches 38 is "normal", first snowfall Oct 22 LAST YEAR!.....1/2 inch this morning...so far 5 MONTHS OF SNOW...we seem to have now 3 seasons.........Cold-Hot n Humid-Cold............

We have now had 90 inches of snow here this year, and it's falling again right now. 18 hours... Soon come.

I'm done. We have had 240 cm of snow since EARLY November here (just under 8 ft), which is actually not that much more than our statistical annual average - 225 cm (or about 7.5 feet) .... but enough is enough! It was -24 yesterday morning and -18 this morning. Enough is enough!

And we get nothing compared to our brothers in Winnipeg! They get BRUTAL cold!

We need warmer weather to get that real sign of Spring here - Cabane a sucre! YAY!!!! Not with this cold weather, though!
