Recommendations for Upcoming Trip
Everyone is always so helpful on the board, so wanted to see if anyone wanted to give some food and activity recommendations for our trip in a couple of weeks.
For breakfast, we've eaten at Marley's Chill Awhile and Alfred's.
For lunch & dinner, we've eaten at Cosmo's, Country Peppa's, Treehouse, Chill Awhile, Kuyaba, Niah's, Chances, Best in the West, Rockhouse, Pushcart, Canoe, 3 Dives, Swordfish and Pushcart.
Also, we've been to Rick's, YS Falls and Pelican Bar.
Looking very forward to the break from the day-to-day. Let's hear your recommendations.

Re: Recommendations for Upcoming Trip
My favorite breakfast or late night snack is at Jenny's up on the West End. Her cooking reminds me of my aunt's country cooking. Not necessarily healthy but OH SO GOOD. Connie the owner is fun to reason with and loves her some country music if that is on your playlist. Loans you a coozie to keep your beer cold, yes it is all about the little things. Her egg sandwiches blow away Mi Yards, and have her throw in some bacon too.
Just do it.....

Re: Recommendations for Upcoming Trip
Try some real Jamaican Home Cooking @ Fatty's, or Barry's (beside Bar-B-Barn - up the lane and turn in to the right from beach).
Angela's (upstairs at Bar-B-Barn) is my favorite for fine food in Negril.

Re: Recommendations for Upcoming Trip
Try Ras Rodys for Ital, Sharks (try the pan fried snapper), Ahh Bees for a good burger, all of these are close to each other across from Tensing Pen.
For a day trip try Mayfield Falls

Re: Recommendations for Upcoming Trip
Sips n Bites on the cliffs, GOOD and inexpensive. Mayfield Falls is wonderful. I want to try Zimbali for lunch next trip...and maybe a visit to Half Moon Beach.

If Angela's is the place that does a great pizza I have to agree. How often do you order a second serving at a restaurant? I did here as the pizza is BOMB!

Re: Recommendations for Upcoming Trip
You've already listed some of my favorites, but I'd also add Chicken Lavish. Always have lunch there at least twice while I'm in Negril and love visiting with Doc. My favorite for breakfast would be Pee Wee's. The next place I'm going to try is Just Natural. Everyone who eats there loves it, so it's on my list.

Breakfast, Canoe is my favourite, Café Goa, and Blue Mountain Coffee shop good too. Two of the best meals last trip, were at Swordfish! extremely good! and at Trevors Carribean Cuisine.

Re: Recommendations for Upcoming Trip
My 2 cents. Famous Vincent for snorkling and for a light dinner there is a bar with some barrel grills out front just as you round the corner past scotia bank heading towards the cliff side. They have the best conch I have had in negril though kuyaba is also very good.

Re: Recommendations for Upcoming Trip
Last week we enjoyed Norma's on the beach. As many places, it was a bit inconsistent, but I'd go back again. We also enjoyed Ivan's on the Cliffs--so pretty.

Re: Recommendations for Upcoming Trip
We discovered a real gem in the west end. Murphys, out by the lighthouse is the best find in a long time. Lenny is a fantastic cook and Tony keeps you laughing the whole time. We ended up going twice and were wishing we were going to be around longer so we could go some more. The Devil chicken is the best we had in two weeks and the shrimp were so good I had them twice. It is great to see the young people picking up the business and doing so well.
Another really wonderful place to try is Tanya's massage, next to 3 Dives. She is sensitive and skilled and the location is covenient and really peaceful.

Sneak into the CoCo LaPalm hot tub.

Re: Recommendations for Upcoming Trip
Goa breakfast, Italian café or canoe for Dinner. Red stripe catamaran was great time snorkeling plus oodles of lobster on the grill when you get to bobby cay. But as you all read in my trip report you can beat the 100 candle dinner at Ivans. Cant say enough. Such beautiful surroundings, such great food, and service second to none with your own waitress dedicated to you but never hovering.

Re: Recommendations for Upcoming Trip
Would you enjoy an upscale experience on the beach? Day pass or Day & Night pass at Hedo II ($50/pp or $75/pp), plus your transportation there and back. Beautiful All-inclusive with good liquor and food. I liked being able to try different foods without having to make a meal of one. Large property with places to chill and small pools all around.
