Different routes of absorption cause the body to process "the ingredients" differently, producing different results...
Different strains will do it also. There are two main families that make up what we call cannabis, Sativa (long thin leaves, big tall plant mostly south African origin Durban Poison, diesel, purples ) will give you a up feeling. Indicas (short fat leaves, short dense plants mostly east Asia, Himalayas origin ex. Kush) will give you a mellow feeling. Suck you into the couch type stuff. Some use sativa in the day and indica in the evening. Each of these have many strains and most common these days are hybrid sative/indicas. There are literally 1000's of these strains that have been cross bred and stabilized into legitimate strains. Jenny's probably uses a cross that is more indica than sativa.. A lot of popular strains today are 80/20 sativa/indica (Prefered by your neighborhood teenager and me!) LOL

I never reply. But this misinformation about herbs is troubling. While the generalization about indica and sativa is accurate. There are a couple of false hoods.
Most of the herb enjoyed in Europe and the States are hybrids. That generally lean more indica heavy. Not sativa dominant.
Purples are generally indica dominant. Being that cold weather has influenced this color. But diesel is 80/20 sativa dominant. And Durban poison is a pure landrace sativa.
All ganja originally from Ja was pure sativa. Californian and Amsterdam genetics have been heavily crossed with the lambsbreath making it quite possibly extinct.
Also eating cannabis always hits stronger because all thc is absorbed where a flame may scorch trichromes. Also because it is digested duration is normally doubled.
Ganja milkshakes are best btw.
The "original" Miss Jenny - what a great lady. She worked REALLY REALLY hard at Seagrape for many years as a cook and general supervisor for the other staff. Working very hard to provide for her kids -- I think she would start work at something like 6 a.m. or so. She would cook us whatever we wanted, some great breakfast memories as well as great fish dinners. Back in the 1970's there was this dread Everall who would come around every other day in his wine colored truck filled with fruits and vegetables and fish and herbs which Jenny would pick out the best stuff for us and negotiate with him. Miss Jenny was a great and wonderful hardworking mother and a wonderful ambassador to Jamaica! We stayed long term all summer when the rates went down.

I hate that.
Whats the strain to use when you smoke it and can rake your yard all day and not care? Or say make a meatloaf that sucks but you think it's great?
sorry , had the 80/20 reversed should be 80/20 indica/sativa me bad! LOL Also the length of time heated for extraction as well as the type of edible solvent (butter, coconut oil etc.) used will make a large difference on the effect given. Some oils are digested better by the liver while other oils are absorbed more lymphaticely.(spelling)Quote:
