Who is the most interesting and unique fellow tourist you've ever met?

I've met some really awesome fellow tourists in Negril, some of whom have become loyal friends. But as far as interesting and unique, one story I've never told was of an middle-aged German woman who came snorkeling with us one afternoon -- and tried ganja for the first time! She quite enjoyed herself, but let's just say that the snorkel guide, Patrick, had his hands full with her.

Also once met a older lady who had arrived as a last minute replacement when a fellow relative couldn't make the trip. One minute, she is sitting at home minding her own business, the next minute she is rushing to fill a big with a few bathing suits and make it to the airport on time. She was on a boat with us, saying how surreal the whole thing was, and she was right.

We have been blessed to meet so many wonderful people over the years. Like Tami and Martina (aka: T & T ) been meeting them every year for 15 years now.
And will again this trip.
And of course Gerry123 ..!

You're a rock star! Fred. There's a guy , kinda funny lookin' named Fargoman. As far as interesting or unique, well I can't say, but he's an expert on Negril info for resort rooms sizes, good amenities, food, drinks, good deals, bad deals, etc. Pretty good" go to guy" for wealth of information on stuff like that. But, other general topics, he can be full of.........???

Met Dan Hampton from the 85 Bears Championship team at Sandals in the early 90's

A few of them for me are definitely Fatty, because he's my friend and I dig the way he rolls, not to mention how long he stays each trip. Also PGW, even though we've only met a couple times briefly, we've been down there several times while he's there and seen him on his strolls up and down the beach without him even knowing. Seeing him at the start and then coming back towards the end of his trek one day was one for the memory banks. I also envy how often he gets to go.

Old school would be VVHT, we had a blast one trip meeting him and hanging a couple of nights, dude is righteous, man those were the days. His very 1st trip report will always standout in my mind forever.

Last but not least would be the one and only Badnaz, any of you that have met her know she's an absolute gem. Just when I think I know everything there is about the girl she totally surprises me and makes laugh non stop for nearly 2 decades, I can't tell you how many times we've re-fell in love again on our trips to Negril. But the all time classic was the night she kicked Dale's a$$ in a rum drinking contest at Doc's. Won't name names but anyone that was there knows we all still share that story to this day just like it was yesterday and we all probably still laugh as hard re-telling it as the night it happened. Each time it gets a little bigger and funnier. Man those were the days.

The most "interesting" person I met in Negril was most unfortunate. I met a man at the resort bar one night who was very lubricated and talkative. All I said to him was "Hi. Enjoying it so far?" and then it started. Unfortunately, he was a racist pig. Let's just say that Adolf Hitler was his idol. Everything out of his mouth was about the "F'n Jews" back home ruining the country. It was very uncomfortable to hear him going on and on. I was glad when the bartender delivered my drinks so I could make an excuse to walk away. I couldn't believe it.

Great memories of you and Badnaz that night on the wrong side of Seastar lane! :)

Everyone I have met over the years are unique ! Have met so many over the years it would be hard to name one especially thinking back to Yacht Club days.Big up to Fatty for living the dream !

I think Skip is really a ghost,,,I walk Lots and see him on the beach then I take a cab to Xatabi and there he is just walk walk walkin ..........

Respect Poolguy. Your ability to go with the flow as well as converse with ANYONE is admirable. I have a great time with you and appreciated every second. Even the seconds around 3 am....

So with that said, Poolguy is my most unique and interesting boardie that I have had the pleasure to meet.........

I have a long list of others and they all know who they are. Brasi, miss you man.

I met a lovely couple on the One love bar crawl, a pretty blonde lady and her husband. I've forgotten their names, I can sort of describe them (was only bar number 2,3 or 4) so I was 'sensible' ish. They got married in Negril 4/5 years ago, I think they stay on the cliffs a lot. Lovely couple.
Also met some other people off another site in Negril. 2 other couples, from Wisconsin. They were all lovely too. I wanted to go to 7 mile beach with them but hubby had an upset tummy so we didn't go :(
They were great fun and genuine people, which I like.

A couple of people come to mind.
Back in 1971 I met an American fellow walking the beach named Stryder who was what I would now can an anarchist. He wanted to overthrow the government and have free pot for everyone. Of course at that time we were the only people on the beach and carried on a conversation as we walked up toward Booby Cay.
An although not a tourist, I think Scott, the owner of Discovery Falls is a very interesting and thoughtful person.

I have to go with Tizzy..Just for her smile and the most professional fun size partier I have ever met....Katho-Kitty For Capturing each reach in spectacular fashion..And Flip..Who less than two years ago was a Newbi..but already knows every out of the way bar in Negril..(thanks to the mentoring of Poolguy) who seems to pop up at any time at any place in Negril!!
