Putting together my own '' cliff crawl''
I love the beach, but I have decided to take one afternoon, on my upcoming trip, and hire a driver,
and plan my own cliff crawl, go to places the regular pub crawl doesn't go.
See places I hear so much about. Im going to try the burger at Ahhbees, check out Catcha for the
first time, pee wees, the obligatory stop at Ricks... etc. Any suggestions of a ''must do, must see'.
Anything to see at the Westender ? Samsara,? Any fantasti bartenders a must meet, who is the gentleman Bently I always hear about. Thanks ahead of time for any info.!!!!!!

Re: Putting together my own '' cliff crawl''
Jackie and I always walk. If you start around 1PM you should make it to sea star by dark.
Usual stops include
Corner bar
mi yard
sword fish
Canoe
peewees
Sky bar
Sunset after dark
Mystic bar
No limit
Country Western
Xtabi
3 Dives
De Bar
AhhBees
Ivans
Ricks
Sea Star
If you can do a beer at each place in one day, you have entered into a very prestigious fraternity.

LTU

Re: Putting together my own '' cliff crawl''
After the seeing Eddie at DE BAR you owe it to yourself to walk across the street & have a couple Sunset on the Cliffs bar..beautiful views sitting up there catching awesome sunsets....you won't be dissappointed.

Re: Putting together my own '' cliff crawl''
No West End pub crawl would be complete without a visit to Seastar Inn's fabulous bar. Once you go; you know. Great welcoming spot.

Re: Putting together my own '' cliff crawl''
Just don't try to do it in a Flip order you will be doing a lot of back and forths, but not a far stumble, lol
This is easily a good afternoon walk for ones that are fit to walk, depending how far down the beach you stay its fun to start there and pub crawl it all the way to the deep west!
A couple more, New stops, Marcus across from Canoe has nice cold beer and soup most days, Sandras bar just past Natural mystic and Miyard, and as mentioned Spyda bar across fro Blue Cave Castle, Firewater Sir D,s lovenest makes a good stop for sunset just past Rick,s the only bar I know with 3 names lol

DConkle, I have it set up for Monday, April 28th, hop on if you want.
Big Shiny, are you and your wife up for the challenge, let me know!!!!

Re: Putting together my own '' cliff crawl''
We used to spend a day each trip walking from our hotel on the beach up to LTU Pub for dinner (after watching the sunset at Ricks), stopping as necessary along the route. Start in late morning and just go. That's how we discovered new (to us) bars before Lembert started the pub crawl.

Are you "locked-in" on that date?
We'd be up for it, but the 28th is about the only day that WONT work for us.
It would be a shame to turn down a challenge from a purple blood though. ;)
I will send you a PM when I get a minute. Thanks for the offer!

Re: Putting together my own '' cliff crawl''
We'll be around doing it a few times over the 12 days.
-
Re: Putting together my own '' cliff crawl''
You can visit Spyda Bar, No Limit and Peewee's all in a single stop. Of the three I recommend PeeWee's. I'd also suggest De Bar and a stop at Firewater Love Nest for Sunset.

Re: Putting together my own '' cliff crawl''
Jojo......I tried to PM you but it says that your folder is full and you need to clear up some room for new messages.

Re: Putting together my own '' cliff crawl''
I am going on the pub crawl on the 28th but would love to go another day?

Re: Putting together my own '' cliff crawl''
On the west end, far past the lighthouse, just before the concrete hotel that got a good start and then stopped the consturction, on the way toward Westender Inn ( but certainly a long way from Westender Inn), is a little thatched roof bar called Sunset Bar. It is on the beach....or cliffs or somewhere in between that description. A kind Rasta gentleman by the name of Ronald.......Coldest redstripe I have had this trip. Take a sharpie, he loves for you to write notes in his open air bar and tell your friends where to find your name.

Re: Putting together my own '' cliff crawl''
Good to know Rick always looking for a COLD red stripe!
