As of last week, no jetskis. The silence was wonderful :)
No, it hasnt yet.
the beach has been great without them...
i was told there is a 6 month freeze then jetskiing from designated areas with licensing, no showboating, regulations! we'll see!! right now seeing more fish than before.
Ban still in place. Much nicer, in my opinion.
yeah much nicer during our trip.
It was so peaceful without the jet skis. I think the ban is to be lifted in Oct, thats what I heard on the beach
It was soooooo peaceful back in Feb! Can't wait until May :)
Yeah, I'll cosign that it was much more peaceful and relaxing not having the "jet ski guys" screaming up and down the coast while we were there in March. Major upgrade in experience on the beach, though we usually only hit Seven Mile once per trip. We're cliff people, and south coast fans.
Love it. Don't like jet ski and don't like folks pitching stuff on beach. win win.
keep the ban on, soon come
Hope they never lift it.
I hope it is lifted by August. I am ready to ride!!
Just returned and LOVED it without the jet ski's! So peaceful...I'm not saying I know what the answer is. I am saying that I know what I enjoy and I enjoyed this trip so much more without them there.
No jet skis = Good news!
I love the jet skis!! bring 'em on!!
so do i , i used to own a stand up ..real jet ski ...to do tricks, races, etc, but in Negril i enjoy the silence without them, also why pay 70.00 an hour, soon come
I don't think it's the jet skis. It's the way they're marketed.
Water borne higglers who are just damn rude.
I dont mind the jet skis, but they should be licensed, registered and they should only be allowed to market them / launch and return in designated areas. Actually, I think it should be up to hotel/resort to apply for permits/insurance and run the jetskis. They can hire who they wish to work. That would still allow for the jet skis, but cut way back on the amount. Also, it would give a specific place for complaints to go.
