quick reflextions on the first 2 days

airport at mobay a nightmare...2.5 hours later, (name removed as driver is not a legal taxi)was still waiting for me...trip report with details when we get home...

more beach at treehouse than i ever saw...beach is bigger all the way down ...

no jet skis....

less hagglers on the beach...

the hotel i am at rocks...37 dollars a night...cold a/c, big pool, seems safe enuff...details later when i check out..

lenbert saw me walking west end road, picked me up and i did a couple stops before walking back to canoe last night...

Sasanya put on a good performance at canoe...

yellow bird and sunnyside have been my hot spots so far...

today fish fry and entainment at drifters,,,

if u see an old dude walking around looking a "hot mess" as my wife has said mnay times already, please stop me and say hello...bit just know, i am not buying anything...lol...

More beach! That sounds nice... we arrive tomorrow so if I see any hot messes, I will send you a greeting :)

We are flying in next Wednesday at 11:10am. What time did you arrive? I'm stressing out about the number of planes and the wait in immigration. We've never had a problem in the past, but I'm thinking about doing the Club Mobay arrival service based on recent things I've read. Just don't want to spend $50 per person if I don't need to. I def don't want a 2.5 hour wait tho!

Sweet dude. Godwin was facebooking me a play by play from Canoe last night. Said you were having a blast.

Beware Mbj at 14:00h 3 flts from Toronto, almost 600 people within 1/2 hour of each other. Even Club Mobay was 1/2-3/4 hour line.

Definitely less guys on the beach yesterday because of the holiday. Our trip with the higglers was pretty uneventful (thankfully), other than an encounter with the woodcarving guy between Sunquest and Sun Beach. Tried to be nice and look over his things, even though not interested, but that was enough I guess. What a rude jerk. Had one other guy walk a ways down the beach with me, and wouldn't leave me alone because he wanted money. Got kind of rude when he figured out nothing was coming his way. All-in-all pretty smooth this time. Seemed like a ton more taxi drivers (both white and red plates) this time. (I know the white plates aren't legit.). Tough to just wait a minute or two for a route cab. Bummed that the infamous Gerry G was in Negril and we missed him. Was in our vicinity, too.

I arrived on Thursday around 6:30 PM. I was through in about half an hour.

Gillymc I think arriving at that time you would probably never encounter any big delays, or the am arrivals. It's the afternoon arrivals that encounter the delays or this is our experience anyway.

We've arrived around 1:30 to 2:00 pm nearly every trip and never encountered a delay like Groove describes, but not wanting to either. Sometimes takes us around 45min to hour but sometimes less than half hour also. That's why it's a tough decision for us, could be a waste of money? Or the could be quite a bargain if backed up.
