Best In The West Waitress

Just wanted to share a store about Kareen, the waitress at Best In The West. We were a group of 8 (4 couples there for dinner last week). After happy hour at Coco we were all a little tipsy and of course continued to drink while waiting for our chicken. After dinner the bill arrived and one in our party figured how much we owed including the tip. The price was $30 per couple. One couple thought it was $30 each and put in $60. We told Kareen we were all set and the rest was hers. She walked away and came back to say "you gave me way too much money". Who does that? She counted it a few times for us and the one couple realized their mistake. Nice to know someone was honest and watching out for us! Give her your business and tip her well. She deserves it!

nice story, at that point, she earned the 30 bucks....

I love these type of interactions, makes me feel good about humanity. We had the same thing happen a couple of times on our last reach, one time with dancing Ronnie (he's our driver) which was 100% intentional, once at Sunshine Village, which surprised the hell out me. One love.

Just so everyone knows, Kereen is how she spells her name. She is always so smiley and friendly. Mo's story doesn't surprise me about her. We have gotten to know her over the past couple of reaches as we have eaten at BITW often and have learned of her story a likkle. We look forward seeing her again in June.

I hope my story brings her lots of customers and tips. She certainly deserves it.

This last February I went to Millie's (the juice lady) accross from Pee Wee's for some juice one morning. I was paying in 100 dollar bills and did not realize I mixed a 1000 in when I paid her. She noticed it and gave it back, then she took the time to explain to me all the difference's between the 2 bills. By the way, if you are in the area and like the fresh squeezed juice and fresh fruit, please stop and buy some from her. She used to come thru the Blue Cave Castle (and probably others) every morning to sell her goods but she is having an extremely difficult time getting around now. I think it is her hip. Again, she is across from Pee Wee's.
