Wanna go out at night with a local?

I have read numerous times that your night will be better with the company of a local. So with that said, I'm going to give some insight to a great guy on the West End. I love late night in Negril and have a few peeps who I look forward to hanging out with. Whether it is a chill night at Eddie's, taking in a show at Roots or Bourbon Beach, or hitting a club at night, it is better spent with someone in the know. My last reach I spent countless hours in numerous places with a man named Bobo. He is a wood carver who sets up across from Rockhouse.

My man crush is not recent, as we have hung out for years. Heck, he was a major player at Booger's 420 party. My wife is always along for the ride and he has shown nothing but RESPECT to her at all times. If you want to have a good time, look for Bobo. You can usually find him at Eddie's or his shop across from Rockhouse. We had some amazing fun just chilling at The Corner Bar across the street on the benches. A little goes a long way with this man.

Have driven around late night with several locals it is very different then when without them. There our some places I won't go to with out a local . You pay the tab at the club and if needed give them a limit.

You're right, it cost me cab fare and a couple of beers.

Nothing wrong with hiring a local escort (tour guide/body guard/other titles) to show you a great time while keeping pesky people away in a more secure setting. Paying a beer an hour is a pretty cheap rate....only thing is if I'm drinking Redstripes they can't drink more expensive stuff. Thumbs up Booger for being so out of the closet...kidding...respect

Hahahaaa. Now if they do have a car and drive, I throw them some cash. Some of these responses are odd to say the least. The reason I started this thread was to encourage others to give it thought if they have not done so yet. I get zero hassle, no hey buy me a beer BS.

I have had some of the best times riding late night with a Taxi man friend, even a stop by the Texaco gas station at 2-3 something in the morning can be a fun adventure?

I dont know about booger, but Jackie and I are looking into a 5 day trip over the US thanksgiving holiday.

mi usually only go out with locals.......since mi der most of the time these days

You doing the marathon again? I'm not sure when we will be back, however if we do another trip this year it would be around that time. Great time to be in Negril.

Haha...Texaco gas station late at night is a whole different kind of party going on...lol!

I know what you mean Booger. My wife and I have our friend Doc with us when we go out at night. Doc doesn't drink alcohol so we look after fruit punches and his gas. He keeps us safe and is a pretty good Crusher Herder! :)

Gosh I've gone out with local friends who drove us in their car, paid MY way into whatever, bought ME drinks and/or food.

If that sounds odd to you, you might re-evaluate who you are hanging out with.

Yep, me three, I hang out with locals! I have a family that I have grown to love and been hanging with them since 2003! You really have to know when to say "no" in Jamaica. True Jamaican friends are there for you with or without cash!

Yes ma'am. The gentleman I mentioned has never asked for a single thing. My wife likes his work and picks up a piece most trips. So yes, you can say we did pay him, for his hard work and hours of time involved making a carving.

Ronny a red plate driver who hangs at Eddie's is also a great person to spend a night with. Just wait till you hear his laugh......

Nope, not red plate. Ronnie is awesome, he's now our "guy" when we go down there. Next time someone sees him, ask if he's had any bad gas lately (gasoline)... There's a good story in there.
