Ideas on moderately priced All Inclusive in Negril?
Hello!
This is my first post to this board. I stayed at Point Village some years ago and wanted to go back. I am having difficulty doing that as it seems things have changed. I am looking for suggestions on a moderately priced AI in Negril. All suggestions welcome!
Re: Ideas on moderately priced All Inclusive in Negril?
Grand Pineapple! Haven't done AI in Negril in 4 trips in 2 years, but trying it in January. Great price for that time of year and like the location in the midst of things on long beach. Mixing it up with a few nights at the very reasonable Catcha Gardens a few nights....lots of great food to yet check out on the cliffs. Off season, I'd stay in one of the non AIs, beach and perhaps cliff split again.
And welcome!

I agree with Melody. Grand Pineapple is a nice moderately priced AI with a perfect location on the beach. It was inexpensive enough the we took 8 people last year for our 30th anniversary.
Good times!

Depending what you consider moderately priced...I would also check Merrill's
Re: Ideas on moderately priced All Inclusive in Negril?
Grand Pineapple is awesome I agree. I also like Merril's for the price. I just booked there and it was about half the price of GP. Have stayed at both, but for
the $$ I can stay at Merril's and still go out and about and not break the bank. Negril One stop has a special on Merril's right now depending on when you are going.
Re: Ideas on moderately priced All Inclusive in Negril?
I have stayed at Merrills 11 3 times now-each January...Never been disappointed. Not the Ritz, but for the money, you just cant beat it...Food is good-especially breakfast-property + rooms are clean, friendly staff-... Travel to Negril 5 times a year, 4 stays a Coco La Palm, always one at Merrils 11

I checked the prices at Merrill' s and at the GP for the same time period. For 2 people Merril' s was less than $100 cheaper. Not sure where others are getting their prices.
Re: Ideas on moderately priced All Inclusive in Negril?
We just booked 8 nights @ Merrils in November - $850 same time period for GP is $1635 gardenside cottage. Negril one stop is running a special - every 2nd night is 1/2 off thru December.

Ah! I'm just pricing thru the websites. Hadn't even looked at specials. Good job!

65% off at GP, paying $850 for 1 person, beachside cottage for 6 nights in January. Check their website.

Melody - My prices are for two people. I also didn't check January since we are going in November.

Did you get your pricing from the GP site? 2 people isn't much more $ and January is always higher priced than off season.

I did Melody - and I did the little online chat with the customer service rep to see about any credits from previous stays. I love GP, but half the price is a lot of off site drinking and eating :) I think the big difference is the half night credit special I'm getting from Negril One stop for my time frame.
Re: Ideas on moderately priced All Inclusive in Negril?
Wow, I'm really surprised GP was that high for November. They still had their 65% off special? I guess for 8 nights that's about $200/night which isn't bad. You're getting a good deal at Merrils even if you don't partake in the food and drinks.
