We are staying st Idleawhile, this is the first time not staying at an all inclusive. I know about Best In the West across the street, but what else is close by that we should try, I'm up for anything.

South of their I like Charela, Mariposa, and the Rondel for eats or drinks, and a great spot for just drinks is Tonys. Going north Marleys and the Treehouse are a couple of our favs. Of course all the years going to Negril I don't think I've ever had a bad meal or drink!
Chances for great pizza, 3 dives on the cliffs, Jah Bs across from Rooms, soon come
We enjoy Rainbow Arch. I don't look at the menu. I just ask Joy, "Whats good today?". Dear wife usually gets the lobster or fried chicken.
I'll second Todd on Charela. It is pricey, but good. They have live music on Thursday, so that is the night that we go. The dance floor is outdoor which adds romance!
Ivan's is really good for a fancyish night out. The food there is excellent, and the dinners are reasonably priced.
We ate at Pressleys one year, side of the road shack type place, but the man can cook. Makes exactly what you want if you come in early in the day and make an order.
Travelers Inn's has good food, Swordfish Restaurant, Angela's @ Bar b Barn. The German Bar, Kenney chinese Food, Niah's Patties @ Wavez park,
Ossies jerk pork.
Cosmos a Negil Original
Sweet Spice
Canoe Bar
I think Kenney's is at Errols, between Negril Beach club and Travellers.
You are in for a treat. The staff at Idle Awhile is great! We usually eat at their restaurant out first and last nights. Other places that are walkable from there, that I recommend are Cosmos, Country Pepa's & Kuyaba for dinner. For lunch, Niah's, Chances, Bourbon Beach or beach vendors.
Chill Awhile and Charela Inn are two of my favorite places to eat. Charela has the decadent desserts. CocoLaPalm has great breakfasts.
Thanks rumlover thought it was past travelers wasn't sure about the Errol's part all i remember is going down a narrow lane to the end and then there was Kenneys it just opened this year. There is a sign.
Norma's, Country Country...take a cab to Swordfish...and Chicken Lavish...
I'll second Rainbow Arch and add the soup place at Yellowbird.
Try Shark's or Jamaica Style Restaurant on the West End for a chill, local vibe. Jamaica Style is across the street from Le Mirage and Sharks is across from Tensing Pen.
I agree with all of the above. At noon try the jerk kitchen at treehouse. Allan's a character and has some of the best jerk in Negril. For another truly Jamaican experience try Auntie's Thrill Corner near TreeHouse. Live lobster is caged in the sea waiting just for you. Reasonable price, great food and hospitality. It's an outdoor experience right on the sand. A must try on a clear warm evening.
Coconut International and Bar B Barn
OK, that list about covers the whole long bay!
Cool Spot..about 300 yards past tree house..local spot..very quiet..reasonable
Lobster Season begins July 1st so please purchase then
