Where to get ice cream on the beach? And trip report

We are staying at nirvana. Such long travel day.

Stayed over at a hotel in atlanta. Checked in at midnight. Got up at 4am to get shuttle to airport. Flight was fabulous. It could be due to the meds my doctor gave me to fly, but seriously smoothest flight ever.

We landed about 10 minutes early. This put is in with another plane that landed a few minutes before us. The line at immigration was snaked around. But really it moved fast. We were able to do the whole thing in about 20 minutes or so!

Met our driver. Then headed to Negril. Stopped at the hi-lo for supplies after the cambio to change some money.

Got to our room. Visited with the staff that we missed! Unpacked then was starving so headed to mariposa. One of my favorites.

Walked down to Myrna's store to see if there was any piña colada mix there. Hi-lo and value master did t have any.

Walked over white sands for a piña colada!

Now we are sitting under the verandah trying not to fall asleep. Not enough sleep and in the ultimate spot for relaxing!

A couple questions- anyone know if Connie is still around? She used to hang at rainbow arch. She does massages.

Also- is there a place on the beach to walk to for ice cream??

I'll try posting a pic or two from today. I'll post more tomorrow once I take some.

Connie was around in May... she does not always come to the beach in low season. Ask at the White Sands bar. They have her number and can probably call and find out when she will be there to set up your massage.

Oh and ice cream can be tough to find... try asking at Charela... I think they have it there.

Try Janette's D-lish Delight, she has several flavors ice cream and great home style Jamaican food.

You can't miss it, beside Rondel Village on the right side. Then walk just to the right of her and say hello to Ozzie, he sells carvings and jewelry at the small white shack on the beach.

the best ice cream i have found is not on the beach but at Swordfish restaurant across from chicken Lavish I find that most places i've tried the icecream is /has crystalizes do to improper re fridgerization.

Coco La Palm usually has 1 or 2 different flavors-cones also..reasonably priced

Today we got up and had coffee out on the beach. Just sat out for awhile watching the beach wake up.

Went down past chances towards margaritaville to get some fresh fruit from a stand. The sugar pineapple is AMAZING !

Swam in the sea for awhile. Laid in our chairs. Murf started out with banana run cream in his coffe and moved on to red stripe by 8:30am. So he was feeling good all day!

Got coco bread and tastee cheese for lunch!!! YUM!!!

Decided to get a massage. Found Connie over at rainbow arch and she sat up. I brought her a new bottle of massage oil down with me this trip. Fabulous massage. She sat up under a patch of palm trees. It started raining and she asked me if I minded staying out or if I wanted to go under cover. I have to admit- my first massage in the rain. But it was so nice! The palms kept me sheltered quite well and I did get a few drops on me here and there but the sound of the rain helped me to relax that much more!

Came back to verandah and ate some fruit. Made a piña colada. Murf had a huge glass of rum punch file died with ice and fresh fruit.
It was thundering and raining pretty well so I laid down and took a nap. Woke up to Murf sleeping beside me. Drinking and rum punch got to him I guess.

Around 5:00 decided to get ready for dinner. It was still raining. Took a shower in the outdoor shower. We have one inside but I love the one outside and only use it the whole time we are here!
We had dinner on the beach and Sun Beach. Seriously one of my favorite places for grilled red snapper. It was fabulous!

Now we are sitting on the verandah just relaxing for the evening. Living the LIFE

I can't seem to figure how to turn the pictures the right way. I'll try and figure it out when I'm more "clear headed" but I did take a few to share today.

No problem. It's good exercise turning our heads sideways once in awhile. Great pics and report. Thanks.

When we stay on the beach in February, the ice cream man comes down the beach every afternoon. I don't know about July.
